The Story Behind Dream Journal
Long long ago (age 14) on a couch in Cincinnati I took a nap. I found myself paralyzed, unable to move, and found it very difficult to breathe. I heard 2 ladies in the room talking, someone in high heels kept walking by me, and was able to see the room but it was fuzzy. I knew that I was caught between some sleep wake state but was definitely a bit freaked out, especially once I tried to talk and could not. Finally I woke up, surprised to find that I was alone in the house. So who did I hear talking? Who was it that walked by?

Can Dreams Predict the Future?
One common question often asked by new dreamers is: “Can dreams predict the future?” There are many stories of visions of future. I myself have had several dreams of a precognitive nature so I can attest that dreams can indeed predict the future. I have visited places in my dreams, only to later discover them “for real” in the waking world. I have also met people in dream state who seemed familiar, only to later find myself face to face with them in the flesh. Anyone who spends even a little time searching the dream journal archives here will find more than a few interesting stories that hint to a deeper reality to be explored in dreams. This is the story of one such encounter that was truly life changing for at least two people, but perhaps more.

Infinite potential of human mind
There are three universes to explore in the Blu-ray edition of Christopher Nolan's Inception. One is the film itself, a mind-bending tale in which Leonardo DiCaprio leads a team of dreamers into the mind of Cillian Murphy to implant an idea into his subconscious. Secondly, there's a wealth of information about the movie's special effects, many of them refreshingly old school. In an age when we assume cinema magic takes place in a computer, Nolan explains the practical tricks he used to keep it real.

How to Achieve Lucid Dreaming
How to Achieve Lucid Dreaming you ask? Well there are many different techniques. For me personally, wake back to bed (WBTB) works best, although I've been known to WILD (see below) as well. Basically that means I wake up, usually 2 hours before I intend to get up, and I stay up for about 20 minutes. Then I go back to sleep. When I do this, I tend to get lucid at least 30-40% of the time. This is best for people who want to strengthen other techniques, or who wake up in the middle of the night anyway. Naps are another good way to have lucid dreams.
