Hi - I live in Manchester in the UK. I've been using the site to record my dreams for a while now, but never got round to checking out the forum.
I got interested in dreams after finding out about the American physic Edgar Cayce. I like philosophies that teach you how to go within to look for meaning as opposed to asking some external spiritual leader.
Along with two friends we set up a dream study group and worked on our dreams for about 18 months. I can't honestly say I was ever any good at interpreting my dreams, but I read that there are cultures where just recounting dreams are important too. So I continued to study my dreams and feel like I had a very exciting night life!
I then hit a very difficult time of my life and would go through the days having to deal with the problems only to see them resurface in my dreams. I remember saying at the time "having to do it all day is difficult enough, without having to go through it in a different way throughout the night", so I gave up paying attention to my dreams.
A year or so ago, so almost 10 years later, I started to remember more and more dreams again, so I looked for a way to record my dreams and found here.
I'm still useless at interpreting my dreams but sometimes I get a feel for what the dream means rather than being able to interpret the detail.
