Vincent. Tiptree forest

Rating
Wednesday, August 9 2017

We were outside this time, in Tiptree forest, going for a walk, holding hands. Vincent seemed nervous, looking around as if in fear; I remembered him mentioning agoraphobia and took off my hat and put it on his head to give him an illusion of a roof over his head. There were weird plants with orange berries everywhere and swans in the lake. I was leading him to the edge of the forest, wanting to both sit under the oaks and hug while watching the fields, and also lay him down in the grass and &ls

Post-apocalyptic broadcast

1. Post-apocalyptic setting – a huge city of mostly crumbling or burned out tower blocks, overcast gray sky, no green anywhere. For some unspecified reason, it is impossible to travel by land and the few remaining survivors are trapped in the top levels of the tower blocks that have survived destruction. I’ve made my home in what looks like a publisher’s office, at least I know that I while away the days by reading, feeling calm and unhurried. I also listen to the messag

Fluffies

I’m in a little seaside town that I think is Walton-on-the-Naze. I’m slowly making my way through a crowded, tobacco smoke filled hall, looking for someplace to sit down, but can’t find any. The overall atmosphere is one of nervous expectation. I hear someone say that George Ezra is here; I pay it little attention, but catch a glimpse of him over the crowd when I’m making my way out through the dark corridors. Then it’s some weeks later and I get a chance to mee

Shameless

(There was some pre-history of me working in a field with various men, including twin Ruuds, but I don’t remember it that well.) 1. I’m walking towards the school and am just turning the corner to Crest road when I run into the most handsome man who’s walking the same way with his grandparents. His grandmother seems to think we’re acquainted and takes his grandfather by the hand and quickens the pace to give us some privacy to talk. We do so, reluctantly and awkwardly

  2. A barn is being transported along a country road. The door is open and facing backwards. Inside there is some hay and tools. A guy and a brown horse sit side by side looking at the roadside landscape passing by. The horse sits like a dog and seems to be paying genuine attention. The guy has so far been chewing a straw with a bored expression on his face, but he suddenly gets up, leans out through the open door to reach the eaves and slowly, laboriously climbs on the roof. The ho

The bait

Summer, deserted Hometown. There are no people around, but lots and lots of dogs everywhere. I’m walking along the 18th street with Pascal trying not to step on the dogs. He seems very happy to see them and wants to draw them. I watch him sit on the stairs of a storefront and sketch a collie. Then it’s getting dark and all the dogs are curling up to sleep right there on the street. I’m alone, it’s getting harder to see. I turn the corner to Mitau street and

Alien gardens and cosplay tots

Sunny summer day, Hometown. Again, I know that the Earth has been invaded by vegan aliens, although I don’t see them. I’m walking down the Tuck street with an unfamiliar blonde woman who seems strangely clueless to me. The street is actually not there anymore – all streets seem to be converted to vegetable gardens as far as I can see. The paths on both sides of the street are planted with grass, but I can see that the concrete edges are still there and they don’t look old

  3. Garden street flat, evening. I’m assembling a jigsaw puzzle of a world map. It’s nearly complete, but I have just one piece missing. I get a mail pigeon and release it out of the window to fly to FöddFörlorare. I keep fiddling with the puzzle while I wait for the pigeon to return. Also on the table there’s a huge white candle with three wicks and suddenly one of them lights up. BlueOpossum is sitting behind me, typing his dreams on a red laptop and he say

Alien food factory

Rating
Monday, June 5 2017

Earth had been invaded by aliens who were after our food. We were enslaved to work in food production for them. Lucky for humans, their jaws were too weak and they couldn’t eat meat or they would’ve eaten us. The aliens looked like eight feet tall skinned and partially gutted upright-walking lizards; they were creepy, but I mostly felt sorry for them as one explained to me that theirs is a highly capitalist political structure where everything is for sale, body parts included and tha

Smuggling otters

Rating
Sunday, May 28 2017

  2. I was in a swamp, standing in about a foot deep clear brown water. It was late evening, but I could clearly see the moss, sticks and dead leaves at the bottom of the pool. The pool was full of small white stingrays, none bigger than my hand. Then I saw an otter swim past and in my head heard a woman’s voice in Latgalian telling me a story about how otters had gone extinct in Latgalia and how she smuggled some in from Poland. She mentioned kolkhoz, which suggested it happened n
