Alien gardens and cosplay tots

Sunny summer day, Hometown. Again, I know that the Earth has been invaded by vegan aliens, although I don’t see them. I’m walking down the Tuck street with an unfamiliar blonde woman who seems strangely clueless to me. The street is actually not there anymore – all streets seem to be converted to vegetable gardens as far as I can see. The paths on both sides of the street are planted with grass, but I can see that the concrete edges are still there and they don’t look old

Fever dreams

  3. Garden street flat, evening. I’m assembling a jigsaw puzzle of a world map. It’s nearly complete, but I have just one piece missing. I get a mail pigeon and release it out of the window to fly to FöddFörlorare. I keep fiddling with the puzzle while I wait for the pigeon to return. Also on the table there’s a huge white candle with three wicks and suddenly one of them lights up. BlueOpossum is sitting behind me, typing his dreams on a red laptop and he say

Alien food factory

Rating
Monday, June 5 2017

Earth had been invaded by aliens who were after our food. We were enslaved to work in food production for them. Lucky for humans, their jaws were too weak and they couldn’t eat meat or they would’ve eaten us. The aliens looked like eight feet tall skinned and partially gutted upright-walking lizards; they were creepy, but I mostly felt sorry for them as one explained to me that theirs is a highly capitalist political structure where everything is for sale, body parts included and tha

  3. The dream starts at the North Market in Hometown, although I have the dream knowledge that I’m currently backpacking through Asia. It’s nigh-time, the streets are empty. I’m just crossing the road when an average-looking guy catches up with me and offers to show me around; I have a distinct thought that he looks like Moby. On the other side of the road there is a steep sandy slope, barely illuminated by the light of the streetlights seeping through the roadside

Town-ship-airship

4. About a hundred people had been transferred to a new planet and accommodated in a small, well-stocked town. Nobody asked us, we just woke up there suddenly. The town didn’t seem like anything special at first, and we were exploring it and looking for a way out, but couldn’t find any as there was sea on one side and steep cliffside on the other. In the distance more steep mountains were visible. The whole landscape was light blue – the sky, the sea, the mountains, while t

Alex. The Summer Show

Rating
Saturday, May 20 2017

6. I had been tricked into going into a dark labyrinthine building to watch a performance called The Summer Show. Admission price was one spoon that I had taken from gran’s kitchen. The show was captivating, although it mostly involved following a choir along the dark corridors; the music they sang sounded like Corvus Corax – men’s voices accompanied by distant drums. All the singers had their heads wrapped in black fabric, but they seemed to know where to go without lookin

I was travelling the Apiary side of Hometown, looking for a missing girl. I knew nothing of her, except that she was missing. While travelling on buses and staying in a hotel by the lake, I saw three random people reading Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Then there was a tiger hiding in the tool shed behind the hotel and eating the piglets, which could not be allowed to continue. The shed and pigsty were located in a small backyard and the only way to get there was down a long flight of

Feeding tapirs

Rating
Thursday, May 11 2017

Twilight. Lee and I are in an unknown outdoor location, seemingly under a bridge, but there is no river. There is, however, an enclosure made of rough uneven boards that holds two cow-sized tapirs. They’re both brown with white spots. There’s also a huge pallet box full of lettuce and we feed whole heads of lettuce to the tapirs. Lee and I keep glancing at each other seductively and about halfway through the feeding have to stop to kiss. I touch him teasingly through the clot

Fire hydras

Rating
Sunday, May 7 2017

  2. Unfamiliar dark room with one small window. I got a weird worm-like animal that I recognised as a fire hydra latched on my finger. Its body was red and segmented like earthworm’s, and it had six claw-like stingers on one end. It stung me and I ripped it off; however, the stingers stayed buried in my skin, and more hydras grew from them and wrapped my whole left hand. It hurt like a really bad nettle sting, but the dream amplified the feeling making it much worse. A man I re

1. Wartime. Kiddo and I live in one of the houses near our garden on Cogs street. I go to work every day and she stays to play alone. My gran lives about a block away, but she hasn’t visited us yet. Other houses are mostly deserted. One evening I come home carrying a full black backpack; I don’t know what’s inside, but I have a feeling that it’s something really bad. I check that Kiddo has eaten all the food I’ve left for her and discover that there’s s
