Alex. The Summer Show

Rating
Saturday, May 20 2017

6. I had been tricked into going into a dark labyrinthine building to watch a performance called The Summer Show. Admission price was one spoon that I had taken from gran’s kitchen. The show was captivating, although it mostly involved following a choir along the dark corridors; the music they sang sounded like Corvus Corax – men’s voices accompanied by distant drums. All the singers had their heads wrapped in black fabric, but they seemed to know where to go without lookin

Old Town

3. Gran’s house, but distorted. I am getting ready to sleep on an extensible armchair and am looking for someplace to hide a handful of gemstones, probably amber. I hide them in a cup of lentils and put the cup under my pillow. I sleep, it is cold. In the morning my gran wakes me up saying: “Happy Princess day!”, and gives me a hollow chocolate egg, big as a rugby ball. It has numbers 10 and 20 stamped all over it. I get the cup from under my pillow and hear a message in my

Dolphin fungal fertilizer

  1. Summer evening, might be near Leven. I’m on the bus with Kiddo when the driver suddenly stops and insists we need to get off the bus and talk to his friend. We get off and the bus leaves. The driver’s friend is standing outside a little shop, illuminated by the lights of its windows. He is dressed in a uniform, but I cannot yet distinguish whether he’s a pilot or a ship’s captain. He has several bags on the ground around him and a small dead dolphin. I decide

Broken face and space dog

Rating
Thursday, March 16 2017

1.1. I had a Y-shaped scar in the middle of my face and no nose. The scar was obviously old and I had learned to cope – breathed through my mouth and even managed to talk in a weird voice that sounded like a loud whisper. Then I got plastic surgery to restore my face. Before it I felt dubious as I had got used to living with my broken face. Afterwards I saw myself from aside – I was near the sea, dressed in a black tulle dress and my face looked like Sharon den Adel’s. I was la

1. A long dream about Methos faking his death again and again, but leaving a clue every time for me to find. The last time seemed hopeless; I knew that there was a clue in a painting, but nothing else. I was in a big room with amber-coloured walls and there were paintings everywhere, both framed and unframed, hanging on the walls and propped against them, and stacks of unframed sketches covering every surface. I called my friends for help. Maria brought a watercolour painting of purple m

Kiddo lost in Hometown

Rating
Wednesday, February 1 2017

I had to go on a quest with Max and Ivy, but at the moment the dream started we were sitting down on the curb at the north end of the prison bridge, trying to figure out how to get going on the flooded path. We knew we had to find someone pure of heart and the water will recede. A strongman walked by with his less strong looking friend and the water went down a bit, but not enough for us to pass. They stayed to see what will happen. Paul brought Kiddo and water receded with a wave, leavin

Seamstress and cancer patients

Rating
Monday, December 26 2016

I was having a complete new wardrobe made by a seamstress in Hometown, near Alley street. All the clothes were made of black or dark blue velvet, except for one lace tunic. I couldn't find a hat I liked as all the models that the milliner showed me were extremely weird, like squashed and dented oversized baseball caps. On the way back from the seamstress I saw about a dozen people lying down near the Central Hospital. It had recently been raining and they were sleeping fi

Normal vampire family (Alternating POV)

Rating
Friday, December 23 2016

A girl of about eighteen was hidden in a remote house by her vampire lover; she had a live-in doctor looking after her. The point of view (POV) was alternating between these three characters.  The middle-aged male doctor: The vampire is quite condescending while the girl isn't nearly as dim as he thinks. They live in a remote mansion in snowy countryside, with windows boarded over to make it look abandoned. However, somebody finds out that it is inhabited and we have to leave eve
