The war is over!

1. Wartime. Kiddo and I live in one of the houses near our garden on Cogs street. I go to work every day and she stays to play alone. My gran lives about a block away, but she hasn’t visited us yet. Other houses are mostly deserted. One evening I come home carrying a full black backpack; I don’t know what’s inside, but I have a feeling that it’s something really bad. I check that Kiddo has eaten all the food I’ve left for her and discover that there’s s

2. In this dream the Hub was more complex, like a staircase with numbered levels and corridors with doors, supposedly each leading to a different location. I was working in a hotel restaurant kitchen and lived in a flat in what seemed the same building, although later it turned out that the whole structure is the Hub. Kiddo lived there with me, not sure what she was doing when I was at work. One day I was really tired from carrying heavy pots and generally from the that noise and busy atmosph

Horned birds

4. I had a husband and a grown-up daughter in this dream. We lived in a house the interior of which resembled the upstairs in gran’s house, and had a big paved and fenced backyard.   I kept birds that looked like hairy horned chickens and were notoriously difficult to breed. Their hair/fur was brown and horns black. One of the male birds had wonky horns – one huge right on top of its head and a tiny one on the right temple. That particular bird couldn’t find a mate,

Eternity in Hell over a potato?!

2. Summer, a dusty backyard surrounded by a chain link fence. In the middle of the yard is a rusted old bathtub. Around forty big black-and-white birds and some twenty young women surround it. They look angry and exhausted; the general atmosphere is of doom and apprehension like something gory and violent is about to happen. A young blonde woman is sitting on the side of the bathtub holding a small axe. She suddenly stands up, the crowd parts before her; she marches to the fence th

Time travelling birds (Alternate POV)

Rating
Sunday, March 26 2017

  1. I went time travelling with my parents and female friend. We were temporarily turned into geese as animals had less probability of disturbing the flow of history. We were walking in line around a metal walkway in some warehouse when my friend fell and got trapped in a stack of empty cardboard boxes, I jumped in to save her, completely forgetting the limitations of my bird body and was left hanging by the beak for a moment before crashing the whole 10-metre-high stack. As we had dive

Lost in translation; also cars and ballet

1. A black car is sliding sideways on parallel ziplines; it’s attached by the wheels, upside down. I am guiding it along with one hand and, although I can barely reach it, it slides easily. It’s a sunny summer say and we’re in a quiet town, but as I keep most of my attention on the car, I don’t notice much else. A green car is in my way, but I march right over its bonnet. For a moment I see myself from the point of view of the green car’s owner who has heard the

Water-tower band

Rating
Sunday, February 5 2017

I was in a band with two guys and two girls, all unfamiliar. We lived and rehearsed in a water-tower that stood by a dirt road in the middle of a strawberry field. There were some cypress trees around the tower. Inside it was dusty and dark, with tiny little windows and exposed black wooden rafters. The trapdoor to the top floor was so narrow that I thought that either me or the taller guy who was the lead singer would get stuck there, but it was fine, we squeezed through. The tower belonged

Dragon and titans

1. We're climbing trees with Kiddo, looking for dragons. It's winter and the pines are frosted white. We climb to the top of one and see some movement, but it turns out to be just a pidgeon; however, there is a white dragon in the tree behind us. It scoops us up in its paws and takes off; we whoop and laugh with excitement. While flying I wonder what the dragon eats as everything is frozen and shout the question to Kiddo; she shouts back: "The sun," and points to straight r

Monastery in winter and birds in the spring

Rating
Thursday, April 21 2016

I lived in a monastery with lots of other people - monks, nuns and ordinary folks too. Peter was there and we slept in separate beds, side by side, holding hands. The dormitory was huge, with two endless rows of beds. When all the noise died down at sleeptime, I went to him for a cuddle. In the morning Peter was gone; nobody knew where. To distract me from frantic searching, an elderly priest asked me to go for a walk with him to show me how the peasants survive the winter. There was so m
