Investigation leads to gun store

Rating
Monday, April 17 2017

Hometown, early autumn day. I’m taking out a loan to ‘buy a Mercedes’, that's what I write when I fill in the form. However, it’s not for myself, but for a young woman, a student who helps me with an investigation. She has faked her death and I have to find out who benefits from her being dead. Her doctor was arrested for her murder and I’m crossing the Prison Bridge towards the town, wearing an augmented reality device and watching an evidence recording of them

Chasing a chimp

Rating
Tuesday, April 4 2017

2. I’m in a wildlife park watching somebody important, probably a politician getting out of a black Jeep with his bodyguards. He goes for a stroll in the sparse woods while several lightly armed men are left guarding the cars. I lie down in the purple heather to rest and fall asleep. I wake up feeling an animal snuggle against my right shoulder. I think it must be a badger or a wolverine, but when I open my eyes, I see it’s a brown chimp. I jump up and shake it off in disg

Lost in translation; also cars and ballet

1. A black car is sliding sideways on parallel ziplines; it’s attached by the wheels, upside down. I am guiding it along with one hand and, although I can barely reach it, it slides easily. It’s a sunny summer say and we’re in a quiet town, but as I keep most of my attention on the car, I don’t notice much else. A green car is in my way, but I march right over its bonnet. For a moment I see myself from the point of view of the green car’s owner who has heard the

Runaway bride

Rating
Monday, February 13 2017

The whole dream was a Danny Boyle’s movie or rather the story that inspired it. It started with a wedding. I saw ‘myself’ in a mirror – a young, short, fragile-looking blonde quite like Kirsten Dunst, surrounded by friends, getting dressed for the ceremony. I wore a pink lace chemise and a very tight simple white silk wedding dress over it. Instead of the veil I had a white hat with pink flowers. I went to sit next to my fiancé at a long table in a rather dark

The undead

1. A long dream about Methos faking his death again and again, but leaving a clue every time for me to find. The last time seemed hopeless; I knew that there was a clue in a painting, but nothing else. I was in a big room with amber-coloured walls and there were paintings everywhere, both framed and unframed, hanging on the walls and propped against them, and stacks of unframed sketches covering every surface. I called my friends for help. Maria brought a watercolour painting of purple m

Elementals and the rest of today's pearldive

Rating
Saturday, January 14 2017

5. A woman had an earth elemental lover (who looked totally human) and wanted to get pregnant by him. I was her doctor and she brought his seed, which looked like a grain of rice, for me to figure out how to make it work. Her husband found out about the elemental and tried to scare him - first taking him to a cliff overlooking a bridge and then to the top of a very high building in sunset, and threatened to push him off, but the he remained unfazed. Then a government official a

Normal vampire family (Alternating POV)

Rating
Friday, December 23 2016

A girl of about eighteen was hidden in a remote house by her vampire lover; she had a live-in doctor looking after her. The point of view (POV) was alternating between these three characters.  The middle-aged male doctor: The vampire is quite condescending while the girl isn't nearly as dim as he thinks. They live in a remote mansion in snowy countryside, with windows boarded over to make it look abandoned. However, somebody finds out that it is inhabited and we have to leave eve

Desert

Rating
Monday, August 29 2016

I'm running in a desert having climbed down the side of a canyon. The landscape is burned orange sand strewn with rocks and rusted pylons as far as I can see. I get to a road that's full of abandoned cars and walk for a while. Then I hear a noise and hide in a dusty hole by the wayside that contains a few dried-up corpses. A man comes along the road, banging on a round piece of metal and shouting that "The gunter-boats are coming!".

Murals

Rating
Sunday, August 21 2016

We were on a tram with Ivy and she kept telling me she wants apples. I gave her apples multiple times and she kept spilling them. We got off at 109 crossing and saw Neil Gaiman throwing wet cement at the facade of a house to make it look like a cave. The entrance looked dismal, but past the antechamber there was a huge hall flooded with blue light and painted everywhere with Dia de los Muertos murals - on the walls, columns and even the floor. The murals were in blue, brown and white, and I

Stargazing

Rating
Sunday, July 10 2016

I was sitting on the hood of an old-timey car and was looking at the stars. All the usual constellations were lined up from north to south and the rest of the sky was empty blackness. The car was parked in front of the local Co-operative, but in the dream it was a bookstore. I went in and found Lee there, and invited him to go stargazing with me. His hands were full of books and I held some while he paid for them. We went outside and discovered that all the constellations had turne
