Alien food factory

Rating
Monday, June 5 2017

Earth had been invaded by aliens who were after our food. We were enslaved to work in food production for them. Lucky for humans, their jaws were too weak and they couldn’t eat meat or they would’ve eaten us. The aliens looked like eight feet tall skinned and partially gutted upright-walking lizards; they were creepy, but I mostly felt sorry for them as one explained to me that theirs is a highly capitalist political structure where everything is for sale, body parts included and tha

Maze and Pete's hair

Rating
Saturday, May 6 2017

  2. I’m travelling a maze of gray concrete tunnels, bridges and stairs, and stationary trains with Mila and Daniel. The surroundings are light and there is no sense of urgency or stress; we walk and climb chatting and laughing. However, all doors are too small for me and on numerous occasions I have to improvise to keep up with my friends. One such door is a very narrow oval metal frame only five feet high. On both sides it’s flanked by low glass borders that Daniel and I ju

Recipe for immortality

Rating
Friday, April 21 2017

2. The recipe for immortality was killing nine goats in one go, skinning them and wearing their pelts fresh. One could hire people to do the killing and skinning, and I observed them for a while – they were men dressed in red uniforms, working in teams of three, bleeding out the goats over a square concrete drain. The setting seemed rural as the drain cut through a field of lush green grass that I thought was well-fertilised by blood. I decided to do the magic myself. I skipped buyi

Two witches' servant chased by storm

Rating
Wednesday, March 8 2017

3. I volunteer to be a witch’s servant. She sends me on errands in Hometown and every time her enemies chase me with a storm cloud that I have to escape jumping over the fences and hiding in shadowy gateways.   Then I have to wash her black-and-red skirt which is immense – the hem is at least 50 yards long and there are dozens if not hundreds of tiny pockets along the hem that I have to check and empty before washing. They contain among other things a brown painted Easter

Shifting shop, eco couple, porridge and antlers

Rating
Monday, March 6 2017

  1. I am in a peculiar shifting shop that changes every hour – first it’s a dance school and I lie on the floor, holding a half-eaten piece of bread in my hand, peeking under a bookshelf where a dancing caterpillar is teaching other blue caterpillars an upbeat dance, like samba. This part I see from beneath the point of view of the lead caterpillar – I can see myself there, my mouth open with amazement and dust bunnies in my hair.   Next it turns into a shop

Raft race and malevolent trees

Rating
Tuesday, February 21 2017

1. A win-or-die kind of race in bamboo rafting. Except instead of rafting in a lake or river, I race down a steeply tilted semi-circular concrete drain at a breakneck speed, balancing sideways on a single golden stem and holding another one for balance. The diameter of the drain is only very slightly bigger than my ‘raft’ and am wary of getting my toes shredded.   2. A hillside in a forest. There is not much vegetation under the trees, apart from some white daffod

Seamstress and cancer patients

Rating
Monday, December 26 2016

I was having a complete new wardrobe made by a seamstress in Hometown, near Alley street. All the clothes were made of black or dark blue velvet, except for one lace tunic. I couldn't find a hat I liked as all the models that the milliner showed me were extremely weird, like squashed and dented oversized baseball caps. On the way back from the seamstress I saw about a dozen people lying down near the Central Hospital. It had recently been raining and they were sleeping fi

Escape

Rating
Sunday, December 25 2016

I had been imprisoned in a huge windowless building filled with dirty green water to the ceiling; I was tied to the floor by the foot and left to drown, but got lucky as the foundation gave out. The building collapsed and I was carried out with the stream. In the dream I had a boyfriend and knew that he was imprisoned in a similar building. I ran through the town that looked a bit like those picturesque Mediterranean villages - white houses on a hillside. I found one that looked bi

Alex

(Swan Prison, except the corner tower had a low wall around it like the one on the left) The dream started with me going to the Swan Prison on some sort of business. Me and a few middle-aged women went through a dark corridor to a search room, where we were relieved of our potentially deadly possessions. I had a lot of stuff in my bag and it took a while to find all the safety pins, nail clippers and a handful of bodkins, with others looking at me impatiently. Finally they le

Surreal train trip

Rating
Saturday, September 24 2016

Me and Morti were on a train; I kept him company as there was no-one else in the train car and probably the whole train. That particular car had a trapdoor that opened to a spacious basement, also empty. Then from somebody on a bypassing train he learned that a friend of his had died. He was upset, screaming that he does not need me anymore. I got off the train and walked back from where the train had come. The landscape was flat, empty and very light - either snow or white sand. It was sunn
