Recipe for immortality

Rating
Friday, April 21 2017

2. The recipe for immortality was killing nine goats in one go, skinning them and wearing their pelts fresh. One could hire people to do the killing and skinning, and I observed them for a while – they were men dressed in red uniforms, working in teams of three, bleeding out the goats over a square concrete drain. The setting seemed rural as the drain cut through a field of lush green grass that I thought was well-fertilised by blood. I decided to do the magic myself. I skipped buyi

A cult in eerie jungle vault

Rating
Tuesday, April 11 2017

The whole dream had a weird “Dear Diary” sort of voiceover. There is a tribe on the shore of the ocean bay, living in a village that’s built on stilts over the water, surrounded by a dense jungle. A part of the population belongs to a secret cult that is guarding ancient knowledge. I’m determined to become a member of the cult and at the moment the dream begins, I’m on my way to initiation. At the entrance of the bay there is a huge natural gray marble a

Xenomorphs

Rating
Friday, March 3 2017

6. A young woman is running down an empty hall in a spaceship, trying to escape from a bunch of xenomorphs. She has a semi-automatic and shoots behind herself without looking. She hits them all, but at the end of the hall there is a closed door which she slams into and the dying xenomorphs slam into her, and she gets pinned beneath a pile of acid-dripping bodies. She only has her gun hand free and shoots herself in the temple.

Peculiar wedding cake

Rating
Friday, March 3 2017

5. A wedding in an unfamiliar venue. Everything is unclear except the cake toppers – instead of the two usual figurines there are four: two of the happy couple, one of a beheaded woman and one of poisoned man. I know that these represent the newlyweds’ previous marriages and how they got out of them.

Runaway bride

Rating
Monday, February 13 2017

The whole dream was a Danny Boyle’s movie or rather the story that inspired it. It started with a wedding. I saw ‘myself’ in a mirror – a young, short, fragile-looking blonde quite like Kirsten Dunst, surrounded by friends, getting dressed for the ceremony. I wore a pink lace chemise and a very tight simple white silk wedding dress over it. Instead of the veil I had a white hat with pink flowers. I went to sit next to my fiancé at a long table in a rather dark

To Purgatory and back

Rating
Saturday, February 11 2017

Summer, Hometown. I was visiting Maria where she was keeping goats off the Uni street; the room looked like the basement nightclub where I used to work. We were having some brightly coloured drinks and discussing whether to go on holiday to Spain or Scotland with our families. Our plans were disrupted when my classmate (unfamiliar) was murdered. I attended her funeral and, seeing that it’s held in the Catholic church, felt extremely frustrated that no one kne

The undead

Rating
Wednesday, February 8 2017

1. A long dream about Methos faking his death again and again, but leaving a clue every time for me to find. The last time seemed hopeless; I knew that there was a clue in a painting, but nothing else. I was in a big room with amber-coloured walls and there were paintings everywhere, both framed and unframed, hanging on the walls and propped against them, and stacks of unframed sketches covering every surface. I called my friends for help. Maria brought a watercolour painting of purple m

War slave and widower

Rating
Saturday, February 4 2017

The conversations in these dreams were in Old Russian that I barely understood, and responded in modern Russian. 1. There was a big victory parade in a huge, red brick hall illuminated by wagon wheel chandeliers. I was a war slave, one among many, and we were expected to swear fealty to our new masters. The masters had both the Bible and Quran, but I couldn’t make an oath on either, and swore on a fencing manual, after which I had to prove my prowess with a sword. The next day I

Seamstress and cancer patients

Rating
Monday, December 26 2016

I was having a complete new wardrobe made by a seamstress in Hometown, near Alley street. All the clothes were made of black or dark blue velvet, except for one lace tunic. I couldn't find a hat I liked as all the models that the milliner showed me were extremely weird, like squashed and dented oversized baseball caps. On the way back from the seamstress I saw about a dozen people lying down near the Central Hospital. It had recently been raining and they were sleeping fi

Escape from the torture boat

Rating
Saturday, December 17 2016

There was a ship in the ocean and the pirates were throwing captured people into the water and killing them when they tried to climb back aboard. There were lot of people in the water, splashing and screaming, and one of the pirates poured a canister of petrol on them and set fire to it. I got tied to a wheel with one other person; we were back-to-back and I never saw whether it was a man or a woman. The wheel wasn't heavy, at least it didn't feel like it when the pirates kicked it o
