I protect

Twilight, my present home. I’m leaving the house to go to the garden, but the whole way I’m dragging an endless extension cord with me. Then we’re riding bikes with Tanya in an unfamiliar part of the town. It’s still cloudy twilight. Tanya’s hair is getting in her eyes all the time and we’re riding at a top speed looking for a hairdresser’s. I see a salon named ‘Gaia’ downhill and we both ride there. I brake too late and ride through

Fluffies

I’m in a little seaside town that I think is Walton-on-the-Naze. I’m slowly making my way through a crowded, tobacco smoke filled hall, looking for someplace to sit down, but can’t find any. The state owned all children and used them for hard work, and we were sent to a yet uninhabited area to cut peat. It was late autumn and bitterly cold, although not snowy yet. We weren't dressed for this and my brother was barefoot. The stream that ran through the peat field was frozen in some places; we had to cut through ice to get to digging and I guided t

Interview

I was interviewing a retired actress and she told me of a show they had done 50 years ago. It consisted of two girls holding two guys at a shotgun point across from each other, who had to make a bed while explaining why they should be left alive. She explained how difficult it was to find suitable bedding in USSR and described how the public loved that show abroad. She told me about the guy who did the best improvisation - told her to shoot him and described how he will visit the world as a ghos
