Prisoners of war

1. Night, muddy field illuminated by torches. I work for a charity that helps find ways to release the prisoners of war. I’m putting together little parcels to be sent to the sponsors – these consist of red necklaces, seashells, books and booklets with information. The necklaces are made of garnet, I have to dig these out of the mud and wash them in a basin that stands on a long wide table right on the muddy field. I feel ill, doubled over with stomach ache and wait for someone t

I’m meeting Ruud at the airport; the moment the dream starts I’m waiting in an idling taxi. Instead of one I see two of them approaching the car - one sits at the front, next to the driver and puts white headphones on and ignores me. 1. I had a neighbour – a teenage girl in a dream. She was bored at home and came over often to watch me work, so we both won’t be so lonely. I knew she wasn’t British, but had no idea of her ethnicity until she used Lithuanian “rankšluostis” in the phrase “to throw in the towel”.   3. The dream starts at the North Market in Hometown, although I have the dream knowledge that I’m currently backpacking through Asia. It’s nigh-time, the streets are empty. I’m just crossing the road when an average-looking guy catches up with me and offers to show me around; I have a distinct thought that he looks like Moby. On the other side of the road there is a steep sandy slope, barely illuminated by the light of the streetlights seeping through the roadside

Inventor of egg tree

Rating
Wednesday, May 10 2017

1. Wartime, probably 1940s. A young woman was being investigated for some petty crime she might have committed against her husband. I cross-examined her case and discovered that her husband had ordered some people to spy on her. I also watched a recording of them meeting for the first time. Her husband was selling his invention in the marketplace – seedlings of a tree that grew eggs, which, as he advertised, ‘in size and nutritional value are similar to ostrich eggs’. At tha
