Alien gardens and cosplay tots

Rating
Monday, June 12 2017

Sunny summer day, Hometown. Again, I know that the Earth has been invaded by vegan aliens, although I don’t see them. I’m walking down the Tuck street with an unfamiliar blonde woman who seems strangely clueless to me. The street is actually not there anymore – all streets seem to be converted to vegetable gardens as far as I can see. The paths on both sides of the street are planted with grass, but I can see that the concrete edges are still there and they don’t look old

Claire's time travels

Rating
Saturday, April 22 2017

1. Claire went further back in time, from 1743 Scotland to what looked like the Dark Ages and spent 46 years there, marrying some old nobleman and bearing him a daughter. She was resisting every step of the way in this time trip, therefore it took her so long to figure the way out. When she appeared back in 1743 Scotland, she was old. Therefore she made the same trip again back to the Dark Ages, arrived there young again and completed the quest in just two years this time. The key was finding

Old Town

3. Gran’s house, but distorted. I am getting ready to sleep on an extensible armchair and am looking for someplace to hide a handful of gemstones, probably amber. I hide them in a cup of lentils and put the cup under my pillow. I sleep, it is cold. In the morning my gran wakes me up saying: “Happy Princess day!”, and gives me a hollow chocolate egg, big as a rugby ball. It has numbers 10 and 20 stamped all over it. I get the cup from under my pillow and hear a message in my

Break a leg!

2. I went to Bury St Edmunds and attended a finishing school there. The classroom consisted of a few rows of desks in a huge ballroom with a parquet flooring and dark green velvet drapes. Girls sat to the right and guys to the left; everyone was dressed and made up to the nines. Although I was my present age, I didn’t seem to understand much, but the teachers never pointed that out. One answer I gave was “Pre-frontal cortex” that I knew was wrong, but the teacher just nodded

Water-tower band

Rating
Sunday, February 5 2017

I was in a band with two guys and two girls, all unfamiliar. We lived and rehearsed in a water-tower that stood by a dirt road in the middle of a strawberry field. There were some cypress trees around the tower. Inside it was dusty and dark, with tiny little windows and exposed black wooden rafters. The trapdoor to the top floor was so narrow that I thought that either me or the taller guy who was the lead singer would get stuck there, but it was fine, we squeezed through. The tower belonged

Rocky beach and B&B

Rating
Friday, January 27 2017

I'm at the seaside in Scotland, watching the waves with my mother. There is a flat rock with a hole in the middle and with each wave water shoots up from it like out of a geyser. There is another rock standing apart as a small island and I see some movement there, but cannot yet discern what it is. I wade as far as I can, then swim to it and see that those are pink jellyfish and some little stingrays stranded there. I pick up jellyfish, carefully cupping them in my hands and release

Vampire hunter becomes the prey

Rating
Sunday, January 15 2017

Mo had kidnapped Michael and locked him in a basement that was quickly filling with water. She did it as an experiment to prove how easy it is to find and kidnap somebody. She was telling this cheerfully while he struggled to stay afloat, clutching at the metal grate covering the basement. I crept down the winding stairs quietly and held her at a gunpoint while she let him out. Then the dream showed Michael as a vampire hunter surrounding a mansion with his people. There was a black

Seamstress and cancer patients

Rating
Monday, December 26 2016

I was having a complete new wardrobe made by a seamstress in Hometown, near Alley street. All the clothes were made of black or dark blue velvet, except for one lace tunic. I couldn't find a hat I liked as all the models that the milliner showed me were extremely weird, like squashed and dented oversized baseball caps. On the way back from the seamstress I saw about a dozen people lying down near the Central Hospital. It had recently been raining and they were sleeping fi

Work hard, play hard

Thursday, November 17 2016

I was looking at a map, thinking where would be a nice place to visit. I saw a curious E-shaped fork in a road and decided to go there. I found myself on the middle street, which was a trail cut through the forest, so that the neighbouring factories would get more light. I found this barbaric, and picked seeds that looked like golden acorns and planted them in that space. I went to work. I had two red roses in my hair, but they turned to velvet ribbo

Movie "Gulya"

Rating
Saturday, July 25 2009

The whole dream was a movie, with beginning and end titles. It was about an opera singer Gulbeyaz (Gulya for short) who made a career despite her difficult childhood. Her mother was in a mental asylum because her husband, Gulya's step-father, had killed himself in an inventive manner and had framed her. I don't remember the details, but beheading and ice were involved. In the opening titles Gulya was on stage in an amazing yellow draped velvet dress, holding an armful of flowers
