Longest time spent in a dream

Rating
Thursday, October 29 2015

We are walking in the forest, me and the guys from the fight club. Then suddently they are gone and I'm running away from someone and climbing a pine tree to get away from him. I lose my sword while climbing. I spend a total of eight boring days in that tree and then climb higher and find myself opposite a block of flats, with the balconies almost within my reach. I try to pull myself up, but someone catches my foot and tries to yank me down. With lots of kicking I break free, jump for the b

Dark Lake

Rating
Tuesday, October 20 2015

I'm making my way through a boardwalk maze over a big dark lake. It's a summer evening, just after sunset. The bridges and docks seem to shift and at one point I find myself facing an open stretch of water and when I try to return the same way I got there, I see only one narrow beam behind me. I lose my balance and dive. It's an amazing full-on feeling of immersing in the cool, black water; it's clean, mostly free of waterwe

Observing an amicable divorce from hairdresser's

Rating
Friday, September 11 2015

Lestat is divorcing his wife and they are splitting up their property. They split up their pug too; he gets the front end and the wife - the rear end with kidneys visible through a membrane. They are walking both halfs in wintry Old Town, talking amicably. I observe them from my chair at hairdresser's. It's situated in an arch, so I only get a narrow semicircle view of the outside, the couple and the half-pugs. A chemical smell assaults my senses - Michael is rolling my hair on gl

Armour exhibition

Rating
Saturday, August 30 2014

I'm running through the streets of a small English town that has their deceased women's 'battle shawls' displayed on wire dressmakers mannequins outside every house. I slow down and walk, touching my fingertips to the sun-warmed metal. The shawls are big heavy triangles, supposedly to be worn criss-crossed across the front and fastened at the back; one is made of big golden hoops, another of diamond-shaped copper scales and yet another of gunmetal gray chainmaille.

Dual gravity

Rating
Tuesday, July 29 2014

The dream starts with me walking on a sunlit golf course. I feel lighter than usual as there is also gravity from above, but not overpowering. Then I suddenly appear in a dark bedroom where a teenage girl (Katniss?) is sleeping. The gravity shifts as I appear, and her blue-and-green checkered blanket and white net curtains 'hang' upwards in the air for a moment. Outside the window there is a big dark city.

Hannibal

Another movie dream. Eric Roberts as Hannibal Lecter reciting a Beckettian monologue on the benefits of plastic cutlery. It actually sounded like you could dance to it.

Rollercoaster and boat

Rating
Friday, December 25 2009

I'm sitting at the very top of a rollercoaster, however, instead of the tracks there are neat and even rows of small firethorn shrubs with tiny dark green leaves and plentiful yellow berries. I sit quietly, blissfully enjoying the sunshine, when suddenly a sparkling white motorboat jumps in front of me, from below, breaking the tracks; boards, rails and branches go flying. The boat flips high in the air above me and nosedives back into the hole at my feet. I feel no surpri

Movie "Gulya"

Rating
Saturday, July 25 2009

The whole dream was a movie, with beginning and end titles. It was about an opera singer Gulbeyaz (Gulya for short) who made a career despite her difficult childhood. Her mother was in a mental asylum because her husband, Gulya's step-father, had killed himself in an inventive manner and had framed her. I don't remember the details, but beheading and ice were involved. In the opening titles Gulya was on stage in an amazing yellow draped velvet dress, holding an armful of flowers

Most precise precognitive dream

Rating
Friday, March 7 2003

I was looking at myself feeding grapes to a fairly handsome guy. The room had a red sofa and wall-to-wall burgundy carpet. There was an amber coloured wall between me in the dream and me in the room. A voice whispered in my ear "Vladimir". Then I was in an autumn forest and saw two men sitting on a fallen log with their backs to me. First one got up and left, and then the other.

Corpse hiding

Rating
Monday, April 4 1994

I’m walking in the park that’s near the gran’s house. There are white marble statues everywhere, both whole and toppled and broken. In the secret corner behind the morgue there are some grapevines climbing the wall. They have big bunches of green grapes despite it being very early spring. There is a fallen marble column on the ground and I think I’ll sit there for a while, but I find a little dead girl behind it. She is about one year old, dressed in a pink snow
