Work basement

Rating
Tuesday, July 18 2017

I was leaving a job after a shift had ended. It was a normal newspaper job, though I don't know where. The building reminded me of the one in Amarillo. I think my co-workers were my current ones. We took the stairs from the third or fourth floor to the ground floor. I said I was going to keep going and went to the basement. That's where the printing presses were. It looked empty. I saw there was a bathroom there. I wanted to go to it. I saw somebody walking near it and I didn't

Trump is our boss? A bunny experiment

Rating
Sunday, January 1 2017

I was in the pressroom of the Amarillo newspaper, only it was much larger. On the top floor (four stories up) was a big window where the bosses were. Donald Trump was up there. My current co-workers were there. They wanted to go to that room and tell the bosses that they didn't like the way they were being treated. We didn't know how to get up there. We needed to find blueprints. We walked around and found a cabinet. I opened a bottom drawer and found a shredded blueprint. I opened it

Back at the old newspaper

Rating
Friday, January 15 2016

I was inside the employee entrance of the Amarillo Globe-News. I was on the first-floor lobby area. I went in the elevator, and there were four stories (it's three in reality). I pushed the second-, third- and fourth-floor buttons and got off on the second floor, which is a mezzanine. I walked out on the mezzanine and looked over the presses. Then I went back in the elevator and went to the fourth floor, which is where the newsroom was (it's on the third floor in real life). I got out

Seeing an old co-worker at home

Rating
Sunday, February 15 2015

I was in Kayenta in the early morning. The sun had not yet risen. I was walking from the high school to my house. I was on the driveway near the weight room and science building. Ahead of me was a man carrying two white garbage bags. I recognized him as Kevin W., a former co-worker. I approached him and shook his hand. He asked if I'd had any luck finding work. I said not yet. He said it should be fine because there are lots of jobs in Amarillo. I left him and continued walking toward

Bureaucratic nightmare

Rating
Saturday, August 9 2014

I was in a city several miles outside Amarillo. I was standing outside a government building. I needed to go some paperwork. I walked inside and asked how to get what I needed. Someone at a counter said I needed to go to the eighth floor but that the floor was only accessible to a few people. I got in an elevator and pushed the eighth floor, but it didn't light up. The highest it let me go was the sixth floor. I went there and got out. I tried to find someone who could help me, but no one was t

It's snowing

Rating
Saturday, July 12 2014

I was in an apartment similar to my old place in Amarillo. The layout was mirrored. I was in Tucson. It was night. I looked out the sliding glass doors and saw that it was snowing a little. There was a dusting on the ground. This was unusual because it's Tucson, so I grabbed my camera and tripod and went outside. At first I thought about taking a picture of a street light because it would show streaks of snow falling. Then I decided to get a picture of the ground. I tried setting up, but the tr

Space shuttle is landing

Rating
Friday, January 13 2012

I was in my backyard in Kayenta with Hilary and some other people. We were waiting to see the space shuttle. I looked up and saw the shuttle gliding straight above us high in the sky. A fighter jet was accompanying it. I don't think it was explicitly stated, but we were in Amarillo even though the setting was Kayenta. At one point I did describe the runway as the second-longest civilian runway in the nation. We went into the alley next to my house and stood there waiting to see the shuttle. I l

The plane becomes a bus

Rating
Wednesday, December 14 2011

I was boarding a plane in Amarillo. I don't know where I was flying. Inside the plane, I made my way to the front, where there was a small door. It was open, and a person inside was taking carry-on luggage. I handed him my bag and my ticket. The ticket was to confirm it was my bag. But I didn't know where to sit. I thought my seat was near the back, but I couldn't find it. So I went to an open seat in the second row. At first I sat in the aisle seat, but the whole row was empty, so I moved to t

Snowy Amarillo, and weird guy in a window

Rating
Thursday, December 1 2011

I was driving someone through Amarillo's downtown brick streets. There was snow piled up on the side of the streets, and some was still in the center. I stopped at a stop sign at an intersection and let some cars pass. A pickup was driving toward the intersection, but it spun out and faced the other direction. I watched it as the driver couldn't control it and banged into the car that was behind it. The wreck didn't seem major. I pulled out of the intersection and drove to some two-story apartm

Rain in downtown

Rating
Tuesday, August 2 2011

I was walking around downtown Amarillo and taking pictures. A pickup parked in front of me had a cool sign attached to the roof of the cab, and I walked to it to get a picture. It was a logo for a company, and it looked like a boat. Before I was able to get close and take a picture, a man and woman walked out of the building next to me, got in the pickup and drove away. It started sprinkling. I tried taking a picture of something else, but the rain drops on my lens made shooting difficult. I tr
