HoliWood Nights in the offseason

Rating
Monday, February 22 2016

Doug and I were at Holiday World for HoliWood Nights. The park wasn't open, or it was during the offseason, because Voyage and Legend weren't open. They had track work being done. Voyage had a lot of its track removed. We were in one of the picnic areas. I wanted to go to Voyage and ride it, even though it wasn't open. The track was right next to the picnic area. I looked at it followed the track with my eyes. There was a big drop on a grassy hillside. It swooped to the left, was

Back to Holiday World

Lucidity
Lucid Intent

Friday, September 15 2006

My brother and I went to Holiday World. I was really excited to ride my favorite wooden coasters again, and I was especially excited about getting to ride Voyage. It was really late in the season, so the leaves on the trees were all gone. The trees no longer hid the rides. We could see entire layout of the coasters. We got in line for Legend. Holiday World tour

Monday, October 10 2005

My brother and I were at Holiday World, and the park was absolutely dead. We got in line for The Legend, and the line was about 20 people long. In the station the line split to three rows: front, middle and back. We went to the back. I was really excited. I kept telling Tim that it had been about five years since we last visited the park. When we were next to get on the train, the station was nearly empty. One of the top people at the park saw us and started chatting with us. There were a

Holiday World parade

Saturday, September 18 2004

I was at Holiday World as a little parade was going on. I was on my way back to Arizona from Cedar Point, so I could only be there a little while. The owners of the park and some ACErs were sitting in those blue, park rental strollers. They were being pushed from the park entrance to the coasters. Up front was a guy playing Santa Claus. He had no shirt on and was covered in white hair. He was also really fat. I wondered why the park let him go about shirtless while guests had to w

Holiday World at night

Wednesday, April 21 2004

I was at Holiday World with my brother, but it wasn't like Holiday World at all. The only way it was similar was it had the two roller coasters and Will Koch ran the place. We walked into a big, "Psycho"-looking house. We walked through the men's room and came into this really large dining room. The Kochs were in there eating with my uncle and his significant other. Mr. Koch greeted us and told us to ride the coasters. So we went outside (the park was just two coasters in the Koc
