Work basement

Rating
Tuesday, July 18 2017

I was leaving a job after a shift had ended. It was a normal newspaper job, though I don't know where. The building reminded me of the one in Amarillo. I think my co-workers were my current ones. We took the stairs from the third or fourth floor to the ground floor. I said I was going to keep going and went to the basement. That's where the printing presses were. It looked empty. I saw there was a bathroom there. I wanted to go to it. I saw somebody walking near it and I didn't

Naked, school newspaper and an odd puzzle

Rating
Wednesday, June 28 2017

I was in my school newspaper office, though it was nothing like it really is. Brett (my old editor-in-chief and a friend) was telling me what the newspaper was doing these days. I sat at a desk. I think I was naked for some of this dream. I found a towel or something to wrap around myself. No one noticed or said anything. I wanted to tell someone what we did at the paper. I opened Google on a computer but mistyped "Arizona Daily Wildcat" as "Arizona Daisy Wildcat" or somet

Newspaper advertising campaign

Rating
Saturday, March 18 2017

I was on my computer and saw an advertisement for an Alabama newspaper. It was trying to increase subscribers and had a new ad campaign. It was called "L°onely Sundays." The degree symbol was supposed to represent a zero because it had no new subscribers so far.

Linda is promoted; I hold a cabinet shut

Rating
Monday, January 2 2017

I was either in Denver or seeing something in Denver on Facebook. My former co-worker Linda had just been promoted to editor-in-chief. The building had a big LED sign on the side of it that congratulated her. It looked like an old neon sign. They changed "The Denver Post" to "The Linda Post," which I thought was clever. Then I was inside a classroom. I was sitting in the back. Linda was at the front, either as the instructor or a guest speaker. A cabinet behind me was full

Trump is our boss? A bunny experiment

Rating
Sunday, January 1 2017

I was in the pressroom of the Amarillo newspaper, only it was much larger. On the top floor (four stories up) was a big window where the bosses were. Donald Trump was up there. My current co-workers were there. They wanted to go to that room and tell the bosses that they didn't like the way they were being treated. We didn't know how to get up there. We needed to find blueprints. We walked around and found a cabinet. I opened a bottom drawer and found a shredded blueprint. I opened it

High school class in middle school

Rating
Sunday, October 30 2016

I was in high school but the age I am now. It was the first week of school. I was in the middle school and had to get from the office to my class. Students cleared out of the halls, so the bell must have rang. I forgot where my class was and its details, though I think the teacher was Mr. McEvers. I walked all the way to the far end of the school. I was where I had my eighth-grade math class with Mrs. Peaches. I saw teacher names on paper outside the doors, but I couldn't make them out. I

Angry about newspapers

Rating
Wednesday, October 19 2016

I was looking in a newspaper's obituaries and saw that my former co-worker Janelle might have died. The obit didn't say it outright. She was only casually mentioned to have passed. It only said she was a newlywed. I had my doubts. Bones, my dad's friend from college, was in the room. So was my mom. The room was unfamiliar. It had lots of items in it like it was used for storage or archiving. Bones said I must be proud to be working for so many newspapers. I rolled my eyes. I said

I win headline awards and tell Betty

Rating
Tuesday, October 11 2016

I was reading the Austin American-Statesman's website and saw that it won a lot of awards at the Texas APME. I saw some design awards for the designers in West Palm Beach. I looked at the headline winners and saw that I took first place in a category. I was excited. I'd never won a headline award before. I looked through more and saw that I took first in a couple of other categories. I planned on putting the awards up on my desk at work. I also took third place in something. I was

The press room and gym

Rating
Thursday, September 15 2016

I was in a newsroom that reminded me of my job in Amarillo. I had some current co-workers there. I left the newsroom and went to the press room. It was much larger than the actual press room. I entered a large area that looked like a gym. I stopped at a brass water fountain and took a sip, but the water was really warm. I walked around telling people not to drink from that fountain because the water was too warm. I went back to the regular press room area. Some forklifts were driving aroun

In trouble over a minor thing at work

Rating
Saturday, August 20 2016

I was at work. Dave, a team leader, came to my desk and asked if he could talk to me about some things I had been missing. My desk was in a different place but not far from where it actually is. I think it might have just been next to where my desk is. Dave took me to the area in front of Marc's desk. He lowered what appeared to be a cage from the ceiling. The cage was made of white PVC. It surrounded us. Dave told me I had been using the wrong preposition in some headlines on crime stori
