A bad NoLimits coaster

Rating
Monday, October 12 2015

I built a roller coaster in NoLimits 2 (a roller coaster simulator I use) and accidentally uploaded the unfinished ride to an exchange site. I also uploaded a video I made teasing the ride. I looked at the video and saw that parts of it were from other coasters I made, not the one I uploaded. So people were downloading the ride and getting confused because this white coaster wasn't the red coaster in the video. There also was a part of the track that was too high after a block brake, s

A coaster with lots of switch track

Rating
Monday, September 14 2015

I was on a roller coaster that was similar to Skyrush at Hersheypark. It had yellow track and blue supports and the same train. The track wasn't Intamin, though. It was like a cross between Premier and Arrow. There was very wide spacing between ties. I rode in the back outside seat. Also on the train with me was Ken Jennings (from "Jeopardy"). The track had a lot of helixes and low swoops near the ground. It also had a lot of switch tracks. It would pass one switch track, stop,

Spooky roller coaster I made

Rating
Sunday, August 30 2015

I designed a spectacular dark ride/roller coaster in No Limits 2, a roller coaster simulator. It was a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter themed to a haunted house. The car would trigger ghosts and lights at every turn.    The finale was a shallow, spiraling drop where ghosts would pop out and a woman would scream and follow the car. It was truly scary. I rode it to test it. Everything worked. It felt real. I got a little scared at the triggers. I walked back through the finale just to make

Building a coaster for a final exam

Rating
Wednesday, March 4 2015

I was in high school and taking a final exam. The final was to design a roller coaster according to the teacher's written instructions. We used NoLimits 2 to design it. The coaster was a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter. I finished and printed it from various angles to show off the whole layout. Somehow I had the design printed under each of the instructions. I got the exam back and got a "C" on it. I did well on most of it, but there was one point where I got 0 out of 5 points. It actua

A meteor crashes into Earth

I was playing with a ride I downloaded for the NoLimits 2 roller coaster simulator. It was very well done. It was a wooden coaster that started similar to a Cyclone ride but then did lots more. After the coaster portion, it used various switch tracks to launch, drop and do other tricks. Two involved a flume section.  I was playing with it on a laptop outside. My brother was with me. I saw a bright light out of the corner of my eye and looked up to see a fireball in the sky. It passe

NoLimits roller coaster simulator update

Rating
Tuesday, June 12 2012

An update was made available for NoLimits that was a preview of NoLimits 2. I started the simulator on a prebuilt B&M hypercoaster. It started with a slight turn to the right out of the station then headed up the lift hill. There were some silver-colored steel brackets below the car that held some proxy sensors that looked different from normal 4-Way sensors. After that I noticed the normal green sensors. Then I was in the ride's station. A different type of train was now on the B&M. I
