In line for Raptor; elephant ears

Rating
Sunday, August 27 2017

I was in line for Raptor at Cedar Point. The line was different from the actual line. It had a long, straight section next to the loop and zero-G roll, and it was in a field. The line was short, and I was hoping to get in a few rides. I got one ride and ran down the exit, which also was different. It had a queue, and I had to wind through to get out. There also were little gates with latches I had to undo to go through. I ran back to the entrance. I didn't have my counter so I had to reme

Soda testing on an inverted ride

Rating
Wednesday, April 26 2017

I was inside a large building with white walls. It felt sterile. People led me to a rope hanging from the ceiling. This was on a track that would take me to a soda taste testing. My friends were doing this. I was worried because I don't drink soda. I did not want to do this. I wondered if I could just swish it around in my mouth and spit it out. The rope moved along the track to another room. Ahead was a little seat hanging by a metal rod from the track. I sat in that and buckled the seat

Las Vegas mysteries

Rating
Sunday, March 26 2017

I was in Las Vegas with my brother, Zack and Tim Vines. We were walking along the Strip. First we were on a long, wide road or sidewalk. We went down into a tunnel. As we entered, a lot of costumed people came out. They tried to get us to come into casinos. We passed Caesars Palace. I saw two people standing outside the door. It looked like they were guarding it. The costumed people were singing and dancing around us. They appeared to be dressed up for Mardi Gras. I put my hands in my pockets

X is for locals only

Rating
Friday, September 2 2016

I was at Six Flags Magic Mountain with my brother, Tom Z. and Talaya. Talaya had a kid in a stroller. We entered the park through a tunnel that went under X2. The tunnel split, and we went to the right toward signs that said "local residents only." Tom said we could go because we were with him. We walked on a metal roof over the coaster's station and brakes. Talaya stayed behind with her kid. We entered the station, which was open and unlike the actual coaster's station. The

Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags

Rating
Wednesday, August 24 2016

Zack and I were at an amusement park that was a combination of Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knott's Berry Farm. We started at Riddler's Revenge. The layout was drastically different in the second half. It started like normal, though I think the oblique loop was removed and replaced with a straight section of track. The drop out of the block brake was normal and gave some airtime, but after that it was different and disappointing. Instead of the first corkscrew, the track just went str

Melting ice cream in the grocery store

Rating
Tuesday, February 23 2016

I was in a grocery store and filling up my cart with regular groceries. I was going back and forth between the ends because I kept missing things. I was on one end where some people were in my way. I had to maneuver between them. I went to the back and grabbed a few items, then went back to where I was and moved between more people. A man and woman in front of me had carts, but they were a couple. I thought that was strange because neither cart was full. I needed ice cream, so I went to the a

Co-worker's funeral

Rating
Friday, July 3 2015

I was at a funeral for a co-worker, Tom, the photo editor. There was a line for signing in and requesting a drink.   I was in line with a couple of people I met at ACES. When I got to the front of the line, I looked over the sign-in sheets. People wrote down one of two names, their name and their drink. I wrote down the co-worker's name but did it wrong somehow. I had to write something else, so I scribbled it out. I made a comment about my terrible handwriting even though it wasn

New employee areas at Cedar Point

Rating
Wednesday, March 13 2013

I was at Cedar Point with Tom C. and Michael O. We were at Millennium Force, which had a slightly different layout and completely different entrance and exit ramps. I was standing underneath a platform for the entrance queue and looking at the track just before the turn into the third hill. There was a new brake there, but there was only a brake on one side of the track. Near the station I saw two more brakes, and they were offset. I didn't like the idea of brakes, so I grabbed this brake and t
