Prince in the bus station

Rating
Saturday, April 9 2016

I was in a bus station at night. I was trying to save money for my trip to Virginia by traveling there by bus and flying back.    I could only go to Boston. I'd have to drive to Norfolk. There was a commotion in the station. People gathered by a wall with windows. Prince the singer walked by. I got my phone out and took a bad picture as he exited the doorway. I apologized because the shutter was loud.    My old schoolmate Saxon was going to Boston. So was Prin

Vacation in Ireland; I can fly

Rating
Thursday, July 2 2015

I was in Ireland with my mom. I had a tourist brochure that listed things to see and do. One of them was visit a haunted castle.    The castle wasn't near us. To get there we'd have to take a bus. I checked the schedule and saw that the last bus left the castle around 6. It was noon, so we had plenty of time.    We got in a small rental car. We wanted to get to the castle now. It was in Northern Ireland. Mom drove. The steering wheel was on the left, not r

Trip to South America

Rating
Monday, November 17 2014

My mom and I were on a plane to take a trip to a South American country. We flew out of Florida. I don't know what we did in South America. I just know when we were finished, we got in a van and headed to the airport. I'm pretty sure someone else was driving us, though my mom might have been behind the wheel. We stopped in traffic at a light. I looked out the window to my right and saw a stone marker. It was about 3 feet tall and looked like an obelisk. It had a number on the side.

A trip to the Rez

Rating
Saturday, December 28 2013

I was driving on Rez. I drove from Kayenta to Tonalea, though Tonalea was in New Mexico and farther away. I stopped in Tsalie and went to the chapter house or some building to ask how far it was to Chinle. No one was helpful at first. Then a woman behind a counter told me two hours. I said I'd been away from home for too long because I didn't remember it being that far. I said my plans: Drive to Kayenta and take pictures. I thanked her and as I was leaving, I said, "I'll wander around Ka

Stopped in Russia

Rating
Monday, September 30 2013

My brother and I had finished a vacation to two towns in Texas and were in Russia. We stopped at a man's house to spend the night. He spoke English without an accent. We were tired, so he led us to the room we'd be staying in. It was small and had two recliners in it. I sat in one and decided I'd sleep there. He pulled out a folded chair and said it was good for sleeping on. You could unfold it a little, but the best way to sleep on it was to put your feet on it. That way your feet were elevate

Beautiful lakeside setting

Rating
Sunday, March 11 2012

I was in a small town on the shore of Lake Erie. I didn't recognize it, but it had that small-town charm: red brick buildings, light traffic, a breeze off the lake. I stood in the turn lane of an intersection. My co-worker Meghan had given me a cloth bag with her laptop in it. I opened the laptop, but a car drove in to the turn lane. I got out of the way and made angry gestures at the driver, then stood back in the road. I opened her laptop. A website was already up, but I don't know what it wa

Flying and driving on a plane

Rating
Monday, May 30 2011

I was on a jet flying across the country. I don't know where I was flying or from where. My brother was the only person on the plane I knew. Somehow we were able to see out the front of the plane like it was a car. I looked out the side and saw the ground far below us. I didn't know where we were. Then we were on the ground and slowing down. We were on a highway, and there was a blue bus in front of us. We inched toward the bus, and I thought we were going to hit it. Sure enough, we bumped into

Trip to Austin

I was on my vacation to Austin. I got off the plane and somehow ended up at my friend's place. I don't remember driving there, and I don't remember using my GPS. I walked up some stairs to his apartment. His wall was all glass, and the apartment wasn't like his real place. I walked in and sat down on his couch. There were about five people there. I sat down on the couch next to one of the people. He sort of annoyed me. He was talking about something I didn't find interesting, and he kept rambli

Toll booth relationship

Rating
Friday, May 21 2010

I was on a road trip with a group of friends. There were a lot of us, so we had three or four cars. We had to pass through a toll booth. There were two sets of them. I drove through the first one because I was confused. I went to the next one and stopped. A cute woman told me how much it was. It was some odd number like $1.41. I paid $3, and she only gave me the coins. I asked her where the dollar bill was. She said I was quick. She got out of her booth and had someone cover for her. I pulled o

My cross-country trip

Rating
Sunday, March 29 2009

I decided to walk across the country following an interstate. I picked one that goes through Utah. I got on it near an intersection with another interstate. The two interstates ran east-west, so the intersection was a little unusual. It was more of a section of ramps to change from one road to the other but to still head the same direction. I had to walk on one ramp to get on the interstate to start my journey. When I was walking on a ramp, I realized I was on the wrong ramp. I thought of seein
