Bike race

Rating
Friday, December 23 2016

I was with a lot of other bicyclists at the beginning of a race. I think it was in Tucson, but the course was unfamiliar. We were crowded at the starting line. I saw an overhead view. It looked too crowded. The race began. I got in front and in a comfortable lead away from the pack. The course wound around up and down some small hills. Either side of it was a roughly 12-foot-tall chain-link fence. I kept note of that because some bottlenecks ahead might be dangerous. I finished the first l

Finding a tow truck

Rating
Thursday, December 15 2016

I was driving Zack to find a tow truck in Tucson. We were either on Broadway or Speedway driving east. My car had a pickup camper in the back. I was having difficulty driving and braking. I saw a tow-truck place ahead and pulled in. The parking lot was small and had tight quarters. The entrance was on a slight incline, then there was an immediate left. I parked straight ahead after turning. Inside, we sat in chairs in the waiting area. Three people were at the counter. They asked if we nee

Back home; brother's drunk in the closet

Rating
Tuesday, November 8 2016

I was in a house similar to the one I grew up in. I was in my bedroom. The closet was bigger, and the beds were set up differently. I was getting out of bed. Tim Vines came in, and we talked. My former co-worker Scott said he was moving to Tucson for work, and he asked me on Facebook for recommendations for things to do. I said Tucson Meet Yourself was happening and that I could join him for a few hours before I had to go to work. I told Tim Vines I'd be busy. I wasn't dressed, so

Driving to find a cave

Monday, November 7 2016

My mom was driving my brother and me in a city. I thought it was Tucson, but it didn't look like it. We drove on a highway offramp. An overhead sign said the left lane turned left and the right lane went straight. I said we had to be in the left lane. Mom got over to the lane and then blew through a red light. I pointed it out, and she said it wasn't there for this lane. I was a little worried. The lane turned into a ramp and went left. The road joined with another and went around a m

Co-workers, old signs in Tucson, ice cream parlor

Rating
Thursday, December 31 2015

I was in a hotel room with my mom and brother. In a connected room were two former co-workers, Anna Jo and Greg. They entered our room. Anna Jo told me that a planning email my current job sent had an error. A story we said would run never showed.    I looked at the email (she had it printed) and realized that I hadn't made the mistake. I told her this. Then I saw that there was a story coming from her people about the old signs in Tucson. I got excited. Greg asked me about t

Racing a bus to Tim's house

Rating
Saturday, December 12 2015

I was at work but had to leave several hours early because Tim R. invited me to his house for a dinner party. Brittani, who worked with me three jobs ago, also was coming. We were taking separate vehicles even though we worked together here. We left work and went to a parking garage. Brittani got her to car first and left quickly. I got in mine and started it. It was parked right next to the exit. I turned right to the exit driveway. Three people were walking in the driveway. They could have

In Tucson, jets are sucked into a vortex

Rating
Sunday, September 27 2015

I was at my uncle's house and got up in the morning. I walked into the living room. My brother was there. I looked outside and saw dark storm clouds behind skyscrapers that were a mixture of downtown Tucson and downtown Phoenix.    One of the clouds made a sudden movement. It was behind the Sandra Day O'Connor courthouse. It quickly moved around as if the wind had blown it, then it disappeared. I asked if anyone saw it. They hadn't. I also called the courthouse a

A magical graduation

Rating
Thursday, May 14 2015

I was on my university campus for a graduation ceremony. I knew I had graduated 10 years ago, but I still tried to pass myself off as a current student. That way I'd be let inside the area where the events were. I walked into a big white tent where people were checking IDs. I got out mine and prepared to explain that I looked so young because it was taken when I was 17. There also was a Sneakoscope that looked like a golden telescope. I worried it might show them I wasn't a wizard, bu

Fight and a tiny convenience store

Rating
Wednesday, April 15 2015

I was walking in an unfamiliar city at night, though I think it was supposed to be Tucson. I walked in a narrow walkway toward a small trailer. A man approached me from behind. He was asking for money, but I could barely understand him. He had a thick Japanese accent. I started to jog to avoid the man, but he caught up. I told him no a few times, but he didn't stop. I stopped running. He put his hand on my shoulder, and I grabbed it, twisting it. He doubled over in pain. I held on and kep

Lots going on at work

Rating
Thursday, March 12 2015

I was doing a broadcast shift at work. Things started off normal, and the room looked the same. The time change has just happened, so the schedule was slightly different. I had the broadcast schedule in front of me and started on California. The office was busier than normal for a weekend, which was a little distracting. But I got the first two fixtures done and ready to send. I didn't send them, though. Then things started to change. I couldn't find the schedule. Instead, I had a
