Apartment door is falling apart

Rating
Saturday, August 5 2017

Tim Vines and I had finished eating at a restaurant. He was outside at his car. I paid the bill. When the receipt and merchant copy came back, I wrote in the tip, but I wrote it wrong. The bill was something like $26.17. I wrote $6.17 as the tip but crossed that off. Then I wrote $10 but realized that was too high. I wrote $5 after crossing off the rest. We went to my apartment (not sure if we walked or drove). It was in a run-down apartment complex. He took a wrong turn around a corner and w

You never get over sports

Rating
Sunday, April 30 2017

I was sitting on a couch with a student who was wearing Florida State University warmup clothes. He was crying. I knew this was because his team just lost an important game. I patted his leg and said it's OK. It gets easier, though you never truly get over it. I told him that even though it's been 12 years, I still am not over Arizona's loss to Illinois in the Elite Eight. A large TV in front of us showed sports highlights. It showed people in a gym. They either had basketballs ov

Georgia Tech plays Kansas

Rating
Friday, September 9 2016

I was watching a basketball game on TV. I knew Georgia Tech was playing, but I couldn't see the other team for a little while. Eventually the camera angle was right, and I could see the uniform of Kansas. The screen didn't show the score because a timeout, foul or something had stopped the clock. I wanted to know the score. I knew it was early in the game, but I wanted to see if Georgia Tech had a chance of winning. The foul was a scrap under the basket for a rebound. Two players l

We can't play basketball

Rating
Saturday, April 16 2016

I was playing basketball with friends, including Tim Vines. It was for our high school. We were really bad at it. I was the only one who seemed to understand the rules. We were playing a team from off the reservation. The ball was small and squishy. We'd squeeze it, and parts would bulge out. Every time we were on offense, no one knew what to do. I tried to explain the game, but they didn't understand. They'd just throw the ball to me, and I'd try to get down court and make a

Celebrity basketball game

Rating
Monday, October 26 2015

I was playing in a celebrity basketball game. Peter Dinklage and Verne Troyer were on a team playing against either NBA stars or really tall celebrities. Troyer was so short, he seemed to go unnoticed by the other players. Dinklage handled the ball well and made a basket between the tall people. I felt like they let him score. Now the opposing team was people I knew. I think they were teachers from my high school and middle school. My team had the ball (I don't know how possession changed

Easy basketball game and insults from a spectator

Rating
Saturday, October 3 2015

I was playing basketball with friends in a gym. It was five-on-five. We were doing pretty well. I was playing well too. The other team brought the ball down the court. It was passed to Doug T. I did a good job guarding him. I had my arms out, and he tried to get by me but couldn't. I stole the ball. Another one of my friends was on the other end of the court. I casually tossed the ball, and he grabbed it and made a basket. Everybody clapped for a long time, until the ball was past halfcou

Basketball and ceiling tiles

Rating
Thursday, February 6 2014

I was in a gym with Zack, my brother, Mr. Beverly and other people. We were going to play basketball against some Indians (from India). We were warming up, and my brother got mad and threw the ball at the ceiling. It hit a tile, and lots of them started moving. They were the normal tiles that are held up with metal bars in a pattern of rows. None fell, so we were OK.We started playing. Our opponents were awful. We would easily outrun them and lob long passes to wide-open players. They hadn't scor

Weirdness at the airport

Rating
Wednesday, December 25 2013

I parked my car at a parking garage at an airport and walked inside. I got in line for ticketing. Only one line was open even though there were ropes for multiple lines. There were a few people at the stations. The one line I got in was for suspicious (aka brown) people and 5-year-olds celebrating their birthdays. A woman told me to step under the rope and go to her at the counter. I handed her a basketball wrapped in newspaper, and she slapped a flight sticker on it. I had a backpack that I wa

I fight a co-worker on a basketball court

Rating
Monday, July 8 2013

I was walking to something like work or church or school. Outside the building were basketball courts. A tournament was going on. I waited for an out of bounds in order to walk by, but they kept playing. One guy, who works in sports (the old guy who sits next to Heath) threw the ball at my head. I ducked and got mad. I called him names and cussed. He walked toward me and I got ready to fight. Everyone else told me to back down and acted like I started it.I went inside. There were a bunch of fold

Lots happening in a gym

Rating
Sunday, January 13 2013

I was in a gym for some kind of summer camp, except I was the age I am now. It was in Kayenta, and some of my former classmates were there. I had two backpacks and set them next to the wall where everyone else's bags were. Some people were playing basketball. I got up to play, but I was terrible. I didn't have any arm strength, so all my shots were too far right or left, and none went far enough. I shot a few times and missed terribly, so I gave up. This made me angry too. I tried shooting at a
