Selfie at work with a clay snake

Rating
Tuesday, September 19 2017

I was at work. One of my co-workers, Aly, walked up to me and put something around my neck. It was a clay snake she had just made. It was painted and looked like a python. It was really well done. I wanted a photo, so I got my phone and held it in front of me for a selfie. Aly and other co-workers got in the photo. I kept holding it farther away to get more people in. Billy was in it but with a mirror. He was facing away but the mirror had his face toward the camera. I tried to get all of us

People seem to want my camera gear in Austin

Rating
Wednesday, September 6 2017

I was walking in Austin, though the city was much more built up than it is. There were several skyscrapers on the south side of the lake downtown. I crossed the Congress Avenue bridge heading south. I had my phone out and was taking video. I also had my camera bag with only my 5D in it. Some people from my youth (I don't know who exactly, but they were Navajo and familiar) approached me. They asked me about my camera. I was glad I put my telephoto lens and other gear in a locker. The lock

Zack takes me to a brothel

Rating
Tuesday, September 5 2017

Zack and I were in a large place that reminded me of a locker room. But it was a brothel. This was Zack's idea. I felt uncomfortable. The lockers were like the old lockers at amusement parks with an orange key and a wristband. We walked and looked around. It was crowded with mostly men, though there were some prostitutes around. We went to a locker to put some things away. I had my black bag with my old video camera in it. Zack grabbed a key for one locker in the top row, and I grabbed th

A man and girl argue at Cedar Point's boardwalk

Rating
Wednesday, August 30 2017

Jill and I were on the boardwalk in front of the hotels at Cedar Point. We sat on a bench talking. It was evening. An old man and a teenage girl were standing behind us. Jill left for something, and I stayed there. I was tired and spaced out. The man and girl were arguing. It sounded like they were arguing about sex. I ignored them. Jill showed up as they stopped arguing. The man apologized to me for being loud and handed me his card. I thanked him. Jill and I walked along the boardwalk towar

Dash cam moves

Rating
Monday, August 7 2017

I entered my car in my apartment parking garage and put the dash cam on the mount on the windshield. Except I put it too high. Somehow I put it above the mount and it stayed. I looked at the video screen and saw the angle was different. I moved it to the correct position, but now it was too low. There also was some kind of air intake or thing that stuck out of my engine (or was on top of the hood). I didn't know who put that there or why I had it. I knew my car didn't have or need tha

Lucas is in 'Unsolved Mysteries'

Rating
Friday, August 4 2017

I was watching "Unsolved Mysteries." It was an old episode from the 1990s. The re-enactment said a man named Lucas from Las Cruces, N.M., was a TV newscaster. He was involved in a chase with people he knew. They stole his equipment, which included camera gear and a bow and arrows that he made. The bow-and-arrow set was special because he could disable it remotely. After he discovered it was missing, he disabled the bow so it had a soft spot in the middle. This made it bend when the

Elephant photos and a flash flood

Rating
Saturday, July 29 2017

My brother and I were in the desert behind our childhood home. We were filming and taking photos for a nature documentary. I was taking pictures of elephants. I was in one of the deep ditches, and the elephants were above me and behind some bushes. I felt safe. After I got my photos, I picked up a branch that had a bulbous end. I acted like it was a rifle and pretended to shoot the elephants. At first I wondered why they didn't go down after I fired. I set down the branch. I walked out

Photo journey in unknown part of high school

Rating
Wednesday, July 12 2017

Stephen S. (from my job in Amarillo) and I were walking around in a dark, unfamiliar area of my high school. We were looking for places to take photos. We walked down a large staircase and turned around at the bottom. It consisted of three sets of steps. Two went up in one direction, and the other up in the opposite direction but somehow looked like it was facing the direction as the other two. They were lit with different colors and had pretty carpet patterns. I said I wanted to take this pi

Northern lights

Rating
Tuesday, July 4 2017

My brother and I were in the living room of our house in Kayenta. I looked outside the window on the side of the house. It was early in the morning and still night. I saw streaks of green lights in the air. I realized they were the northern lights. I was surprised I could see them. I felt like I was facing the wrong way to see them. I either heard on the TV or looked up online (somehow I knew this) that the lights were absolutely brilliant this day. I wanted to run outside and go to the platf

Magic Mountain, Dive Devil and a jumping snake

Rating
Tuesday, June 27 2017

I was at Six Flags Magic Mountain with Doug and a couple of other friends. I had a new lens, the 16-35mm f/2.8. We were near Dive Devil (a free-fall ride in which riders are attached to a harness that is attached to a cable, pulled back 150 feet and dropped to swing on the cable). The layout of the park was different. The terrain was hillier. Dive Devil was different. Riders loaded at the bottom of the back tower, which was down a slope. The middle of the ride (where they normally load, and t
