Failing the entrance exam

Rating
Sunday, June 25 2017

I was in a small room to take a college entry exam. I had taken one earlier (possibly the ACT). I'd gotten the minimum score to get into college the first time and a slightly hire score the second time. I was the age I am now and long out of college. I wanted to take it again for a higher score. The instructor handed me two double-sided sheets of paper. He explained the top half of the front of both sheets. They were English comprehension puzzles. One was similar to a crossword. I filled

Formica exam

Monday, April 18 2016

I was at college during final exams, and I was going to a geology exam. I knew the exam was about Formica, which was a rock in this dream. I hadn't studied. I told myself the day before that I would study the book and learn all about Formica, but I didn't. I thought I knew enough about it anyway that I'd do an OK job. We needed a special notebook for the exam. It was narrow like a reporter's notebook, but it was specialized. I had several at home but forgot to bring one with m

Failing a test in college

Rating
Wednesday, September 9 2015

I was in a college class. I think it was U.S. government or U.S. history. There was a big test coming up. I don't know if it was a final exam or some other test. My grade depended on it. This class was an elective, so I didn't need it but I wanted to do well. I studied and did a lot of work. When the test came up, I did the test and felt pretty confident. Then I got my grade back. At the top it said "D+." I was furious. I was the only student in the classroom. The professor

A final, final exam

Wednesday, February 4 2015

I was in a lecture hall with Meghan. We had finished taking a final exam, and we now only had to fill out an evaluation and do one assignment for a meeting with the professor. Everyone in the class was handed a piece of cardboard about 8 inches by 6 inches, a bit larger than an index card. The cardboard was hard. Written on it were instructions for a final exam, which we would then give to the professor during the meeting. We had to indicate on the card what we learned, but it was too hard to

Elementary English class

Rating
Wednesday, January 16 2013

I was in an English class with younger students (they looked elementary age), but there also was someone I met at ACES there. The teacher was a professor. I had missed the first few days of class, so I was a little lost. We sat at our desks and just talked before doing anything. The professor was talking about a movie, and I enjoyed this conversation because I had seen the movie. Then he sat at his desk. Everyone grabbed their pencils and started doing some assignment they got from their desks.

My brother and I take my final exam

Rating
Sunday, October 14 2012

My brother and I were sitting in two chairs in a classroom. There were only our chairs and the professor's chair, which was in front of us and facing us. The professor sat in that chair. This was my final exam. We went over lots of things we covered in the class. I did well because I attended every class and paid attention. Then we got to the last part, which was a test on a book about a wolf. I didn't read the book, but my brother did. I had the book on the little desk on the chair, and it had

'South Park' locker room

Rating
Friday, March 23 2012

I was in a locker room with the boys from "South Park." We were taking a written test where we had to estimate the time it would take us to run the bases. I kept messing up my estimate because of variables. Was it a double? Do I only stop at first? A home run? The boys kept getting called back to another room for a physical. An old female nurse calls a name. The first test of the physical is to shoot a small ball through a basket above the door. I saw someone try, but I couldn't tell if he made

Eye exam

Friday, November 11 2011

I was in a waiting room-type area so I could get an eye exam. I walked up to a counter, and a woman behind it asked me questions. She asked my name, and I handed her my driver's license. Her name tag had her name, so I asked her how to pronounce her last name and what nationality it was. I thought it was Polish, but she said it was Czech. I said my name was too. She didn't care. She told me to stand back and read the letters on the wall behind her. A woman next to me was reading them too, so I

Failing a test

Rating
Thursday, July 21 2011

I was taking a test for a high school reading class. It was on a book we were supposed to have read, but I didn't read much of it. The test was just a copy of a test someone else had taken with most of the answers whited out. The test I got still had the person's name. It was a man named Wes who visited an online message board I frequent, except his name was a woman's name. Wesley was his middle name. Some of his answers hadn't been covered up, so I just went with his. He wrote in capital lette

A final and my giant lens

Rating
Tuesday, December 22 2009

I was sitting at a long table in a tent with clear walls. The table was surrounded by chairs. I had my camera with me, but I had a huge lens on it. I thought it was a 70-200, but it was much larger and heavier than that. I slung it over my shoulder and then put it on the table. Some people were sitting at the table. We had to take an exam. The teacher gave us a study guide that had all the answers. The first one asked a question, and the answer was one word. The second answer was another word.
