A dirt berm

Rating
Monday, April 17 2017

Anne, my brother and I were leaving a hotel to go to a restaurant. We left and got into Anne's SUV. I sat down and realized I didn't have my wallet. She said I didn't have to bother. I said all right but that I wouldn't be able to buy alcohol. Then I figured I didn't need alcohol. She pulled out backward. There was a high dirt berm to our left. There were tire tracks leading up one side. It looked almost vertical. Someone stepped in front of that track and said we shouldn&

I spent the cash

Rating
Friday, March 24 2017

I was in a hotel room. A woman was there to retrieve a briefcase full of cash that a friend and I were holding. But we spent all the money and replaced it with IOUs.    I told her I'd input the code she gave me, but I had to do it elsewhere. I went to the hall and took the stairs to the roof. There was a similar tower next to this one, and I hopped on its roof.    I needed to get to a payphone to call the room and tell my friend we had to leave. I thought this

Road trip stop at a Wild West hotel

Rating
Saturday, March 18 2017

I was on a road trip with Tim Vines, my brother and my mom. We were in the parking lot of a hotel themed to the Wild West. We were a day away from our destination. We were getting ready to leave. I think we spent the night there. I was driving a rental car or unfamiliar vehicle. Tim Vines' parents were with us in their own truck. Some kind of chaos was happening with them. They couldn't leave. I got out of the car to find out what was happening. His parents were yelling. He said they

I was in a building (possibly a hotel) with some co-workers. I know Ellen and Jenna were there, but I'm not sure who else was. I saw a painting on the wall that looked like a roller coaster. In the background was Millennium Force at Cedar Point. The foreground was the coaster's track and train, but the track was doing something it doesn't actually do. It was a twisted section with some twisted hills. I pointed it out to Ellen and said it was Cedar Point. I was excited. She said th

A woman breaks into my mom's phone

Rating
Tuesday, July 26 2016

My mom and I were in a shopping mall. We were staying in a hotel in the mall. We left the hotel and wandered around the mall. She wanted to browse, so I walked with her. We entered a store and looked around. I don't remember what it was selling. We quickly left. We entered another store, but Mom realized she'd left her phone at the first store. We went back, and the phone was on the counter. It was split open (it was a simple phone; not flip or smart) and had a small plastic bag stick

Job rejection, dark hotel room

Rating
Friday, May 13 2016

I was in a large room in an office building. It seemed familiar, like I'd done a job interview there. I walked from one end to the other. There were some people in one area. I overheard a woman on the phone talk about a candidate. I assumed it was me. I felt like I'd interviewed with her before or saw her in the office when I interviewed. I was next to a couch that had a lot of colorful pillows on it. In front of me was an opening in the room. The room went deeper in this opening. In

Stupid 'Jeopardy' contestants

Rating
Saturday, March 12 2016

I was with a friend (I don't know who) in a hotel. I was watching "Jeopardy." Three men were the contestants. They were absolutely awful at it. They had no idea how it worked. The categories came up. The first was about Detroit. The man on the left went first. He said, "I'm from Detroit, so I'm going to sweep this round." He picked the $100 answer. The answer was something about a building thought to be the tallest building but isn't. The man buzzed in and

Job interview, strange elevator, small tortoise

Tuesday, January 19 2016

I was in Washington, D.C. for a job interview with Politico. I was inside a building on the north end of the National Mall. I looked out the windows and saw the mall to the right. I was talking with a manager in his large office. We weren't talking about work. We talked about the city. He pointed out his window to a crowd of people coming up stairs from underground. He said that's where a Metro station was and that a train must have just arrived. We talked about the job and what it en

Co-workers, old signs in Tucson, ice cream parlor

Rating
Thursday, December 31 2015

I was in a hotel room with my mom and brother. In a connected room were two former co-workers, Anna Jo and Greg. They entered our room. Anna Jo told me that a planning email my current job sent had an error. A story we said would run never showed.    I looked at the email (she had it printed) and realized that I hadn't made the mistake. I told her this. Then I saw that there was a story coming from her people about the old signs in Tucson. I got excited. Greg asked me about t

Romantic vacation

Rating
Sunday, March 22 2015

My girlfriend and I were in a nice hotel in Hawaii. We were on the third floor and had a view of a bay. It was night, and the moonlight was reflecting off the water. It was magical. We had all our luggage unpacked and set up in the room. We hugged and kissed. We talked about what a good idea it was to go on this vacation. We kissed some more. The phone rang, and I picked it up. It was the front desk saying our room had been upgraded. We were one floor up and still had the water view. This
