Broadway show, president, attack

I was in New York with my former co-worker Joe. We entered a theater to see a Broadway play. Our tickets were for the middle of the section on the right. The play must have been expensive because no one was sitting in the middle section (there were three sections divided by aisles). An usher came in and said people could sit wherever they wanted because the middle could not be empty. Joe got up and went to the front row. I said that wasn't a good spot because he'd get spit on by the p

Angry at the play's director

I was putting on a community theater production of "The Wizard of Oz." I knew I hadn't done as much rehearsing as I needed, but I felt confident I'd do well because I did in high school when we put on this play.    The Tin Man had just finished, so my turn was coming up. I wasn't in my costume yet. I couldn't find all the pieces. That slowed us down. I eventually found them but didn't have anywhere to put them on.    Backstage were me

A bad performance

Rating
Monday, September 22 2014

I was with friends in a cafeteria or stage setting. The floor was tile, and there was a raised stage at the end of the room. It was kind of like the cafeteria in my high school. The floor was open. We were going to see a performance. We didn't know what it was. People brought out the sets. They looked sort of familiar but like a really bad version of the pieces for "Rent." They brought out the centerpiece, and I knew it was "Rent." They had "Rent" in bubbly cut-out letters all over the centerpi

Not ready to act

I was in a drama class in high school. We were preparing to put on a play. Some of us were in the audience seats. I was taking up a few seats with my backpack and script. I was going over the script because I didn't completely remember my lines. My phone vibrated, and I didn't get to it until it started ringing. It was my friend Byron. He wanted to know if I was going to visit Six Flags Over Texas and if I wanted to go to Schlitterbahn also. He gave me some dates, the 21st to the 23rd. I had a

I'm in 'Wicked,' apparently

My brother and I were in New York to see the musical "Wicked." The night before, I was either reading or writing a headline for the play, and I wrote "Something 'Wicked' this way comes." I thought that was really cheesy, and I didn't like it. There was a hot dog cart outside the theater. I got a hot dog with mustard, and my brother got some kind of stuffed pita or tortilla. He couldn't pay for it, so I paid with a $10 bill. We could see inside the theater, and previews started showing on a scre

Helping a play

Rating
Saturday, January 9 2010

My brother and I were helping put on a play. It might have been a puppet show. But we weren't in it. We were just setting things up and moving things around. The play was at the intermediate school's playground in Kayenta. Before the play got started, someone announced the introduction to it. My brother and I were behind the curtain getting things ready. The announcer said two people in the play were "life dogs," which was what people called "life partners" back then. I stuck my arm out of the

The Phantom of the Opera

Monday, September 19 2005

I was in the SAC Auditorium watching a presentation on something. After the people were done, I got out of my seat and saw my friend Jake. He was sitting a few rows behind me. I sat by him but started worrying about my laptop and backpack, which I left at my previous seat. I got up and found them. As I was walking back, I saw Zack. He was just sitting in a chair talking on a cell phone. I poked him. He noticed me and shook my hand. I told him we should hang out, then I walked away. I wa

An Unusual Play

Monday, December 15 2003

I was in a play in high school. It was a dark play. I played a reporter and my cue to go on stage was when all the photographers came on. I was supposed to follow about five seconds after them, but I kept forgetting my cue. I didn't have any lines but I kept checking the script to see if I had any. As I was reading over the script, people were on stage saying their lines. They kept messing up so we had to help them out. I was trying to stand behind curtains backstage so I could
