Thrift store, my "ex" and falling radios

Rating
Saturday, March 19 2016

I was at a thrift store in Austin with my former co-worker Brian Gaar. A woman who stars in his TV show was working at the store. It was outside and under a tent. It had a lot of knickknacks. Then I was with Tim R. in another location. I suggested we go to the thrift store, so we went. While there, Meghan Y. showed up. We didn't speak. Tim said something like "Tensions between you and the ex, eh?" I asked what he was talking about. He said my ex-girlfriend was there and we weren

Improv show

Rating
Friday, January 22 2016

I was watching an improvisation show on television. It was probably "Whose Line is it Anyway?" I think Drew Carey was the host. Bill Murray was the guest. The skit they were performing was a singing skit. Carey and Murray each sang only one word at a time, and they took turns. Murray was wearing a wig of curly, black hair. He had on two hats and a scarf. He spoke in a thick New York Jewish accent. He introduced himself as a rabbi and said he and his partner were going to sing a trad

A bad performance

Rating
Monday, September 22 2014

I was with friends in a cafeteria or stage setting. The floor was tile, and there was a raised stage at the end of the room. It was kind of like the cafeteria in my high school. The floor was open. We were going to see a performance. We didn't know what it was. People brought out the sets. They looked sort of familiar but like a really bad version of the pieces for "Rent." They brought out the centerpiece, and I knew it was "Rent." They had "Rent" in bubbly cut-out letters all over the centerpi

A song to end the dream

Rating
Sunday, January 19 2014

I was in the house I grew up in. My mom, brother and dad were in the house too, though we didn't interact. There also was a strange woman in the house, and I was watching her do whatever she was doing. The woman was in my bedroom. She was folding clothes, and she put a piece of paper on top of a framed photo. She was singing a song. The only lyrics I heard were: "I thought about throwing up." There was more to it, but I woke up as she sang it. It had a catchy tune and sounded like it was from a

Strange opera at an unfinished apartment complex

Rating
Tuesday, January 29 2013

I was in a large courtyard in the middle of a large apartment complex. The apartments were five or six stories tall and were under construction. This courtyard was at least 200 feet wide and longer than that. There were three people behind me, two men and a woman. We were in an opera. This opera was unusual. We spoke a lot of scenes, and we weren't speaking now. The singing scenes were improvised. I was playing a woman, and I imagined I was wearing a long, flowing red dress, but I was wearing n

Our production of 'Rent' fails

Rating
Tuesday, September 18 2012

I was on a stage with some friends and other people, and I was told we were performing "Rent" that evening. I would be playing Roger, and Tim Vines was Mark. I think Anne was there, but I don't know who she was. We started the show with Mark coming out, and the audience clapped. There was an "X" on the stage for him to stand, but there were tons of X's in a grid pattern all over, and I had no idea how anyone knew where to stand. When he started and said, "We begin on Christmas Eve," the audienc

Slaves in Cambodia

Rating
Saturday, December 3 2011

My mom, brother and I were slaves in Cambodia. We were walking along a dirt road next to some fields. To our right was a field with a barrier of palm trees on three sides. They were planted so closely together, they acted as a fence. I don't know what they were fencing in, but someone didn't want anyone in there. We turned right because the dirt road ended at a T intersection. The trees along that road had all been cut down. That's why the barrier was only on three sides. Tim jumped over the st

Everyone leaves church

Rating
Monday, November 22 2010

I was in a large church with a lot of people. I sat down in a pew near the front. Sitting next to me was a classmate from high school, Jessica. We talked a little as the place filled. A couple of my co-workers also sat down, but they were on the other side of the aisle. The service began, but the pastor said something that offended most of the people, so they all left. The church was pretty empty after a while. Jessica, my two co-workers and I were among the few people who stayed. A song starte
