Kayenta at war

Rating
Wednesday, November 26 2008

My brother, Tim Vines and I were in Kayenta during some kind of war. We had guns from World War II. I had a double-barrel shotgun. We were walking along the dike behind our house. There were foxholes in the desert, and most were empty. We walked along the fence trying to find Nazis. There was about an inch of snow on the ground. My brother was complaining that it was cold, and I told him, "At least it's not Bastogne." I stood on the top of the dike and looked out into the desert. I saw five gu

My brother and I were in a pretty large house on the edge of Tucson. It might have been in Marana. The house was on the top of a big hill that overlooked the neighborhood. Behind it was a large area of land that went to the foothills. My brother was inside watching TV, and I was admiring the view. I thought abuot what it would be like if I had a gun and drove by them. They'd freak out if I pointed it at them. I went inside the high

Snakes for dinner

Thursday, November 6 2008

A co-worker and I were in my kitchen at my home in Kayenta. We were setting pans on the stove to cook dinner. We poured a little bit of oil in the pans and then put a snake in each of the pans. They looked like diamondback rattlers. I put mine in the pan using tongs, and my co-worker put hers in the pan by grabbing it just behind the head. I was nervous because I thought they were poisonous. The snakes were still alive when we started cooking them. My snake started moving around, so I held it

The boat race

Rating
Sunday, November 2 2008

I was on top of a platform that had eight small pedal-powered boats on it. They were parked on top of slides that would send them to the water below us. Everyone was getting ready for a race. I couldn't find my boat, and someone directed me to one of the slides. My boat wasn't up there. Everyone's slide went straight to the water, except mine. Mine hopped over a fake rock wall that had water in it. I couldn't see my boat. I figured it dropped into the little pond the rock wall made, so I went d
