Suspended at work

Rating
Thursday, September 30 2010

I was angry about work and got upset about something. I was sitting at my desk and just flipped out. I was yelling at Jim and cussing him out over something he said. I got up and went for a walk around the newsroom. I walked by our interim executive editor's office, and he handed me a piece of paper. It said I was suspended for a day beginning at 3 a.m. That meant I had to finish the rest of my shift. I was called into the executive editor's office along with a photographer. The EE closed the

Mandatory evacuation

I was in a dorm with my mom, brother and a man I didn't know. I had just woken up in the middle of the night because an alarm was sounding. My mom and brother were panicking and trying to get to the stairs. It wasn't a fire alarm. It was for something else. I looked out the window and saw thousands of puppies being herded into a barn. I thought that meant whatever was going on was bad news.I wasn't wearing pants, and my pajamas had fallen off my top bunk. I jumped down to the floor and found a p

Casino winnings, and my car is towed

Rating
Saturday, September 18 2010

I was driving through a parking lot looking for a spot. I found a long row of empty spaces next to a wall, so I parked there. I entered a casino and walked around for a while. I played roulette and won a handful of silver-colored chips. I wanted to cash in because I didn't want to lose money, so I went to the booth at the front. There was a person in front of me who also had some silver chips. They were valued at $1 million each, and I got really excited. I had five or six, so I was going to be

WTC in Arizona

Rating
Friday, September 17 2010

I was on the University of Arizona campus. There was a memorial to the World Trade Center on the Mall. It was just like the planned memorial in New York. I walked down two sets of stairs into one side of the memorial. There was only a trickle of water flowing over part of the side. The whole thing seemed a lot smaller than the real one. I was slightly disappointed that water wasn't flowing everywhere. It was also really crowded. I  took a different set of stairs to get out. Walking around

Boats and escape from prison

Rating
Monday, September 13 2010

I was on the shore of Lake Erie with my brother. We were driving right along the coast from Sandusky to a town past Huron, and I was pointing things out to him. I pointed out the Huron lighthouse, and there were several boats on the water. I saw two, and one I thought was the Kaye E. Barker, but it was really short. Another was the Alpena, and it was going to Sandusky. I knew it was a cement freighter, so I wondered why it was going to Sandusky. I saw a big metal thing on the lake that looked li

Lions in the canyon

I was back home in Kayenta and standing in my backyard with an old Navajo woman. I was pointing to the rock formation colloquially known as the Toes. I saw some sort of white structure on top of it. I didn't think it was a wind turbine, but it could have been some sort of clean energy device. I grabbed my camera and put the telephoto lens on it. I scanned around the Toes and the other formations out there and saw several white structures. They looked more like propane tanks propped up verticall

Co-worker's yard sale and raffle

Rating
Friday, September 10 2010

Janelle was having some kind of raffle or yard sale, and she was handing out fliers at work. Work wasn't normal. It was a different building, but the people were the same. She was selling some of her things she didn't need, and afterward, she was holding a raffle for the stuff she didn't sell. She wasn't telling anyone, but I assumed she had gotten a new job and was selling her stuff for the move. That made me upset. I was sad because she was leaving and I didn't have a new job, and I was sad t

Afghan friend fires on U.S. troops

Rating
Thursday, September 9 2010

I was with two groups: U.S. soldiers and Afghan soldiers. My mom, brother and friend Meghan were there too. Meghan was an Afghan soldier. The groups were separated by a wooden fence. The Americans stood about 20 feet away, and I think they were by a beach. One of the Afghans started firing on the Americans. I tried grabbing a gun from one of the Afghans who was near the fence, but he didn't want to let go. I pried the shotgun out of his hands and fired a single shot at the Afghan firing at the

Bathroom aquarium

Rating
Wednesday, September 8 2010

I was in a motel with a co-worker and some friends (all men). Another co-worker came in (a woman), and we decided to go into the "man cave," which was a room Matt customized with video games and a big TV. We went in there, but it was just the bathroom. It was a fancy bathroom. It was big, and the bathtub was flush with the floor. It sunk into the floor so you only had to step down into it. In the water were some tiny fish and plants. It was set up like an aquarium. There was a small creature sw

Boats and sharks on Lake Erie

Rating
Sunday, September 5 2010

I had a high vantage point and was overlooking Lake Erie. I don't know where I was. It wasn't Cedar Point, and I was much higher up than any ride or roller coaster there. Looking over the lake, I could see several lake freighters. Some seemed to be following routes, and others went their own way. I saw a boat more than 1,000 feet long and tried to find out which it was, but I couldn't tell. I thought it might have been American Integrity, and it had the right stack markings. I saw another boat
