I visit The Denver Post

Rating
Tuesday, August 30 2011

I was in downtown Denver when I saw a man who looked familiar. He looked like Joe, one of my former supervisors at The Denver Post. Some people were taking a picture of him because they said he looked like someone from TV. Turns out it was Joe, and he also was from TV. He was in commercials for the newspaper. I walked up and said hi, and he invited me in to meet everyone. Four other people walked in behind us, but they didn't work there. Joe used his badge to get around a barrier, and he left t

Working at Cedar Point; an old phone

Lucid Intent

I was working at Cedar Point, except I was the age I am now. I stopped in a restroom to urinate. There were three urinals, and all three were occupied. One man finished and stepped away, and I stepped up and relieved myself. As I did that, a man stood behind me. He was muttering to himself and sitting in what may have been a wheelchair. Someone pushed him closer to the urinal to my left so he could use it. But instead of using it, he kept talking. The person who pushed him there started combing

Multiple tornadoes

I was in a large building. I think it was part of a university. It was new and really nice. I was in the lobby with my brother and some other people. It was open for about three stories and had big columns spanning to the ceiling. The windows out front ran along the curved facade. I liked the looks of this building. The sky was really dark. There were bad-looking storm clouds quickly moving in. I went up some stairs to get a better view out the big windows. My brother was with me. The building

Vince's kid

I was riding a bicycle in Kayenta near the intermediate school. I was heading toward the housing behind the middle school. There was a long row of cars heading the opposite direction I was going. Most pulled forward, except for a blue car. It quickly backed up, swerved into my lane (though it was far ahead of me) and stopped before running into a cement truck. I ride past it and into the neighborhood. I took the curve in the road and coasted along the houses. A man was coming out of his house a

Everyone's in the restroom

Rating
Tuesday, August 23 2011

I had just gotten back to work with a large group of friends and my brother. We went to lunch at Rosa's, a Mexican place. The food upset our stomachs, and we all went to the restroom at work. Since there were so many of us, some of us had to wait for a while. I waited for someone to finish in a stall, and I went in. My stall was the farthest from the entrance. The left side of it was the bathroom wall. The latch didn't work properly, and there were large gaps between the door and walls. I relie

Best burger at the mall

Rating
Monday, August 22 2011

I was visiting my cousin Ann, and we were in a mall to get a burger. She took me to a place where she had gotten a burger and eaten it at her house. She said it was one of the best burgers in the city. She walked us to a place in the food court that looked like a Johnny Rockets. It was split in two. There was one barlike place, a gap for people to walk to other parts of the food court, and to the right was the larger serving area. We went to the smaller part. Jim Carrey was working behind the c

Crashing a wedding

I was in a large church or cathedral with my brother. We were there for a wedding of someone we didn't know. We entered the nave and walked to the front row to sit down. I said we couldn't sit there because that's where the closest family members sit. We moved back a row. Each row was made up of folding metal chairs. Two rows had jackets on them with the arm extended over several chairs to indicate someone was sitting there. I sat in a chair next to the jacket, but someone sat to my left. The j

Hang glider rip-off revenge

Friday, August 19 2011

I was in a garage with a friend, Jimmy. We were in my old neighborhood in Kayenta. He had just bought a hang glider and wanted to try it out. He strapped himself in and stood up. He pushed through the green canopy. Part of one of the wings broke off when he did that. Now he had a giant hole in the middle and broken wing. There was no way this would fly. I told him I would get his money back. My brother and I went to a house in our neighborhood. I wanted to be sneaky because these people didn't

New job and doppelganger

I was at my first day at the Austin American-Statesman. I didn't have my own desk. I walked around to find an empty desk, but people kept filling them. I saw the last open desk, but a man with a baby face sat there. Someone was shooting family portraits in the newsroom. They asked if I could put on my white dress shirt and join them in the photo. I said I'd do better and wear my suit. I walked around a corner and saw myself ahead of me. This clone of me was wearing my white button-down shirt.

Two angry men

Rating
Sunday, August 14 2011

I was in my car in Kayenta. I was parked between Bashas' and the Fire Department. Two men in a car next to me were furious with me, but they also were afraid of me. I wanted to drive home, but they blocked me. Then they drove away. My college friend Aaron drove up and told me to be careful and to not lose my temper. I drove away, and the men drove back to where I parked. I thought I'd lost them, but they pulled next to me on the highway. They yelled at me. I tried to ignore them.
