Off to Crystal Palace

Tuesday, January 24 2012

I waited with a friends for a train to I did not know where. I was trying to tell him something but kept getting interrupted. A man came over and passed a message to my friend who passed it on to another man who then conveyed the message to a woman. She burst into tears. It was to do with death. Her eyes became reddened and then she walked away. I was off to a football game in South London. My mode of transport was by train, and I spent a long while trying to decide if I needed another ticket w

Looking for a book

Thursday, December 28 2006

I was looking for a book for Sophie, ducking under a desk in a shop to avoid items that were stacked up and blocking my way. I later boarded a coach that I had nearly missed, and sat down at a single seat.

The stacked books contest

Saturday, November 5 2005

I was in a contest in which I had to rummage through lots of stacks of books and find the best ones. One entrant was running late, but we were told he was coming along so were to start without him anyway. I had about five stacks of books reaching high into the air in what appeared to be a library when I decided I was not enjoying being at the top of one of these high stacks and wanted to come back to earth ;-) Luckily, the late entrant then decide to make his appearance known, so I said

The unwarranted laughing

Friday, October 14 2005

I had agreed to meet Sophie and in the process, collect a book at the library. Well, I arrived at the library and left my empty handbag outside the door after first checking it was indeed quite empty. I looked at a few of the shelves at first but found there was very little on show to merit my visit. Then ladies burst out laughing when they saw me, though I thought one said that I looked 'dishy'. At this point I took my glasses off - a habit I have for when I want to engage someone in

Sophie leaves her suitcase in an antique shop

Wednesday, July 20 2005

Sophie leaves a suitcase in a cupboard in an antique shop by mistake. I go back later to get it and am remembering where the shop is by the park with gates as a marker. I also had an urge to take a photograph. Upon entering the shop, I tear the grey mat with my suitcase I am pulling and so lift it up and place it gently on a wooden surface VERY carefully. The owner saw all of this. Four people are inside the shop and I explain about the case left behind to them. Then I look a little for

Bartering at the bookstore

Friday, October 1 2004

I went to a second hand bookstore and bartered on the price of a book. There were all kinds of extra taxes added by the owner - 9 pounds in all, and I was on the point of changing my mine on buying it after all till I objected and quoted me a price. The book was wrapped, and when I was offered my change they had lost it

A story in a shopping catalogue

Tuesday, June 22 2004

A shopping catalogue that told a story through the products that it sold. Each item for sale showed a man's story a little further progressed. I was balancing high in the air on books . Shania Twain songs wre playing in the background. There were suitcases stacked high in a corner.

The refugees

Friday, December 26 2003

In a cinema, sitting near the back. I can see on a news report of a scam by refugees where they walk into places where there is a large gathering of people, then they accost them for money and valuables. As I look, a section of people to my left get up and walk away and I assume that this is became some refugees have walked in, so I make to move as well. Then a lad sitting near me reassures me that they are probably just looking for better seats. I was earlier sorting through a few o
