Cleaning a table

Friday, March 21 2008

I was eating in a cafe and had been given the task of wping clean a table that had tomato stains on it. I had been given a cloth  -  well it was not exactly a cloth but a bedsheet  -  and I was making a rather feeble effort at the task. There was a cup that I kept moving out of the way and the owner of the cafe was watching my efforts intently.

To the cafe

I was with a work colleague, discussing where we would go for something to eat. I suggested a cafe that I knew, but when we had walked there he continued on past as if he didn't like the place and had a better idea.

Friday, October 1 2004

Autism conversation

Saturday, January 31 2004

I sat down in a café, opposite a woman with a young child. The conversation almost immediately turned to autism and I think the child may have been autistic. Her husband came in and he suggested they sit a table in front of me. This did not offend me but I did feel he might have been a little insecure about me chatting to his wife.

In the cafe; cans of coke

Monday, January 5 2004

I arranged to meet Gu and Lee at a cafe. When I arrived they were already there and had ordered. I sat down and was asked what I wanted but there were no menus so I said 'everything'. Two of us searched through a rubbish bin for two empty cans of coke. they had to be the right ones though, for it was the code on them that was of importance. This was because either a) it was a winning can in a prize or: b) the code was relevant to a part of the county that we wanted to prove we had vis
