David Bowie Tribute Act Goes On Strike

Thursday, September 6 2012

I was at work at lunchtime and for no reason I can see I just upped and went home without telling anyone. My lunch must have been so good that it seemed a shame to return. I just turned off my phone and decided that if anyone asked me than I believed I had the afternoon booked off as annual leave.  So what did I do on my afternoon off? I went into a pub to drink beer. As I was supping my second pint, a man came over to me and asked if I would be interested in buying a magazine

Muswell Hill, the 51st State of America?

Sunday, April 30 2006

I was flicking through a magazine in which I saw an advertisment for a Muswell Hill stadium of the future. Mouse in the bag

Tuesday, February 1 2005

There was a mouse in Mum's shopping and I kept touching the bag and hoping if it was still in there then it might try to escape. A woman spoke to another and in hushed tones as to what perfume she had on, because she smelt 'funny'. Finally, there were lots of magazines with work matters inside. The outside covers were duplicated on many of the magazines.

A football dream

Monday, February 17 2003

I'm looking at football magazine and notice with some surprise that the price is 1.81. What a stupid price, I think to myself. Why not a round number at least? As I look inside at the stories and the pictures, one image grabs my attention. So much in fact that I am soon inside the photograph and looking at an old European football ground of the 1890's where there is a man taking a penalty. After scoring he takes a piece of the goalpost as a souvenir.
