Madness

Tuesday, June 26 2012

Another celebrity type dream. Suggs from Madness was emptying his pockets or I was  -  I forget which. There were lots of coins involved here. Then he began singing. I wouldn't say he has the best of voices, but when he opened his mouth to sing, you couldn't even sum it up as "bad". It was bloody awful.

The I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To- Die Rag song

Saturday, April 18 2009

I was walking down a pathway, singing the lyrics: And it's one, two, three,What are we fighting for ?Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,Next stop is Vietnam; And it's five, six, seven,Open up the pearly gates,Well there ain't no time to wonder why,Whoopee! we're all gonna die. Then I got a little tongue-tied and couldn't quite remember the words, but I slowly awoke and remembered I was playing music on my Ipod

Boyband nightmare

Saturday, September 27 2008

Horrible, horrible dream in which I was listening to Ronan Keating of Boyzone do an absolutely awful version of Genesis' Follow You, Follow Me. The horrible part of it is that he was singing the chorus section EXACTLY as I know he would if he were to take on the song on. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL.

Grace Slick

Friday, August 8 2008

I came across Grace Slick about to give a busking performance. Ten or so of us gathered round, then Grace appeared  to get a nervous mood on as we got closer in a semi circle. 'Sing us a song' someone said, and that made her look ill. 'Back off' I said. 'She needs to breathe', but the moment had gone and so had her confidence.

Cycling along, singing a song...

Friday, December 1 2006

A country singer and I were cycling along, singing a song that I had taught him. We went full circle around a roundabout and headed back the way that we had come. Finally, I was sitting at a table with German football supporters who were wearing their national team colours. Some England supporters then arrived in red shirts and we sat opposite each other in a relaxed mood.

A meeting with Jeff Lynne

Tuesday, October 25 2005

I was lead vocalist for ELO but did not know the words to the songs. At one point I walked from the stage during a guitar solo, and when it came to walking back, I looked through a slightly open door and could see the band had by now finished the set. I looked through a side door to see that the audiences were mostly children - which I thought was very strange indeed. After meeting up with the band to discuss what to play as an encore, one of the musicians bought me a beer, which was pla

The 160 room Elton John gig

Thursday, October 6 2005

Elton John had a stint playing a song in each of the 160 rooms of a department store. He seemed pretty much like the old Elton of the early seventies. I kept losing my coat as I followed him around with Sophie, up and down carpeted steps of the hotel. A doorman shouts out that there are too many following Elton, but we hurried on and soon lost him back in the crowds. Elton then demonstrated how to play chords with one hand and melody with the other. I was watching him with the intention

A little racial tension

Sunday, August 21 2005

As I walked along with Sandra, a race riot began due to football fans singing and inciting racial tension. Muslims were the tarket, and they fought back as my sister and I were struggling in water up to our waist with streaks of fire projected toward us by the Muslims who had only hate in mind toward innocent bystanders. I trod water to rid us of the streaks but it helped little.

Me, the gossip spreader

Wednesday, August 17 2005

'Are we gonna have fun next Sunday' was being sung by Franz Ferdinand. A newspaper sold out before I could pick one up, so I went looking elsewhere in the shopping centre. I Walked into bar and was instantly looking for toilet. I had discussed personal information with a friend and had then repeated it in confidence to another and within moments, it was being repeated back to the original source, much to my embarrassment.

Jehovas Witnesses con me of my money

Thursday, April 28 2005

I'm off to clean windows, but none need doing. I didn't want to look in people's windows anyway, so this was a relief. I hear the Strawbs song being sung, and in particular the line 'out brothers out', which reminded me of the General Election to come in May. I went into a shop to look for book, and was approached by Jehovas Witnesses who tried selling me things and then fiddled my change when I bought something to get rid of them.
