A midnight walk

Monday, June 11 2012

I was waiting at midnight for some walkers to arrive at my home. They said they were going to Gloucester. That was a surprise to me because I was only expecting to go a few miles. Still, I compromised and suggested going part of the way with them. That was as far as I could go before I was due at work. A blindfolded man stood in front of me and there were capers galore as I decided if I was going to chop the man's head off to save a lady or use a penknife? No - the axe it shall be.

The Ministry of Silly Walks down an alley

Thursday, June 7 2012

Sophie and I were carrying heavy shopping in two bags. I of course had the extra heavy bag... containing milk. Then I hit on a great idea: if I walked in a funny manner then the bags would feel as it it felt lighter. So there I was, doing a ministry of silly walks down a dark alley.

Smelly toilet and an arsonist

Wednesday, May 23 2012

So there I was at a new workplace where on my first day there was a big meeting just outside the toilets. The new boss was there with his teenage son, and it was he who mentioned how smelly the toilets were. 'oh well' said his dad ,' it doesn't matter'. The discussion was of extra work available, but those interested must say by 6.23pm on Wednesday. I was taking part in a tennis tournament doubles match. I had no hair and then it grew back quickly in the space of minutes. After the match I

Doobie Brothers property

Sunday, March 4 2012

Sophie and I were walking in a group along a road with terraced housing  both sides of the road. We were viewing the houses and former houses of members of the Doobie Brothers to see what their fame and fortune had allowed them to aquire. The only band that ever gave the impression (on film) that they ever lived together were the Beatles in one of their early films, but here we were looking at some  rather modest houses and then at the end of the road we crossed over and looked at the

No shoes

Friday, January 27 2012

Sophie and I were driving along when I had an overwhelming urge to get out of the car and walk. I hadn't gone far when I realised that I had no shoes on. I decided that the best thing to do was to push a trolley all the way home for miles. When I got home, Sophie told me I had left my shoes with her in the passenger side of the car. Doh!

Sick day off

Monday, October 6 2008

I was sick and unable to go into work. Then I decided I was going to go with Sophie by train to see her to work and then walk all the way back along the river. First of all I had to phone work and say I wouldn't be in. Then I changed my mind about going out at all and settled for a quiet day indoors.

No seats at the table

Tuesday, September 30 2008

I was trying to take a seat at a large gathering of friends and family. I was walking anticlockwise around a very large table with a friend behind me who kept saying look for two seats together so we can sit there. I turned down getting single seats that came up and as a result found nowhere to sit. Alongside all this I was aware that at the gathering was a person who I just didn't get along with and who I was not even talking to. Unable to find a seat, I walked away and out of the building to g

The dead animals in the park/reincarnated bear?

Thursday, March 30 2006

I walked with Sophie to David's new house through a park. I was none too sure of the direction I was going, but very soon we were faced with dead animals blocking our pathway. A horse, then a tiger and finally a bear are stepped around carefully and a little reservedly. I then realise the bear is alive so continue onwards and a little quicker ;-)

Trying to get off the bus going the wrong way

Tuesday, December 20 2005

I was walking a familiar road with Sophie, but she had dissapeared when I looked away and now I was alone. I was late for school study again and I continued walking, but decided it would be best to get on a bus. Then I realised that I was going in the wrong direction and I couldn't reach bell to tell the driver to let me off. He still was reluctant to stop.

Walking with the Bee Gees

Thursday, December 15 2005

I was walking up a hill with the Bee Gees. Andy (a brother who was not in the band) came over ill and stopped off at a pub. The rest of us carried on until I explained to them that we needed to retrace our steps and be back by a certain time. I stood next to Maurice as he stroked his beard thoughtfully and agreed with me.
