Buying food in France

Monday, July 31 2006

I had bought a french stick with tuna in a shop in France. It had cocktail sticks inside, which I believed was rather an odd touch. I was trying to say to the shop owner that I wanted ' une' (1), but said ' neuf' (9?). In exchange for £5 I was given lots of English coins as change. I sat down next to Richard from BB7 and was telling him that I had hired a camera to record the day's events.

Passport/food on a plate

Sunday, July 30 2006

I was putting food onto a plate. Items such as chicken, lobster and gravy, of which there appeared to be limited supplies. There was white plastic cutlery available but Elton John bought some of his own along. Danette and I had travelled by train on a previous trip to the US, but my passport was written in pencil and I was a little concerned about if this would be a problem. I felt guilty about the way I had parted with Danette, and was thinking of a journey to the West Coast that she

The runaway car

Saturday, July 29 2006

I was in the passenger seat of a car, driving along with no engine and unable to stop the vehicle. I was pushing a button but this was having no effect. I kept thinking what I could drive into to stop, but was keenly aware that whatever I hit would mean a crushed front end (and me) of the vehicle.

The collapsing wooden walkway

Friday, July 28 2006

Two boys were throwing tennis balls at me in an attempt to get me annoyed. Well it worked! I was then going down a rickety wooden walkway with two other guys. It was taped off as dangerous but we used it anyhow. We had to turn back though as it got too dangerous, and just made it safely to the top as it got to the point of collapse. I needed a hand right at the end and got pulled up the last few steps to safety. From there I was on my own and was wading through water that was up to my lo

The annoying premium rate telephone call.

Thursday, July 27 2006

I had to unplug my phone connection in my bedroom because a seller kept ringing me, and I believed that he was somehow connecting me to a peak rate number. I was getting annoyed because somebody else kept answering the phone on my behalf, which was why I believed the disconnection to be necessary. I was also getting ready for bed, and not able to settle with the disruption going on around me.

Floating in the water

Wednesday, July 26 2006

I was floating along in water towards the Meridian Greenwich Mean Time line. Not swimming - just floating. I cannot swim in my waking life, but these turn of events never troubled me.

Getting ready for a game of chess

Tuesday, July 25 2006

I spent some time looking for chess pieces in all kind of places and then went about setting them up on a board. All the while I was getting help from a prospective opponent. Also, I was looking at a place of work that had ancient stone walls that looked as though they were cracked. I was thinking of how to perform some task that would involve me upsetting a neighbour by leaving some things on his back wall.

Fire and snow

Monday, July 24 2006

I had a whole bunch of embers from a fire that I wanted to get rid of. I put them onto an old newspaper and then out onto the fresh snow that had fallen in the garden. Well, the newspaper caught fire, and where it had been laid it was the contributing factor in the collapse of the garden wall. I had a flash of déjà vu when I felt I had gone the exact same thing before.

Abandon ship!!!

Sunday, July 23 2006

I was in a small rowing boat, making my way across a lake of sorts. I had rented it out, and Sophie was also making her way alongside in her own. The boat then began to take on water, and in moments I was up to my knees in water. I abandoned the boat and asked to join up with Sophie's. When I got back to land the guy in charge said it would cost me for the sinking, but that what was salvaged would probably pay for the costs.

Big brother's wrecks the neighbours' cars

Saturday, July 22 2006

I’m walking around without my shoes on and carrying luggage from my neighbours house to my house. There are loads of Somalian families walking back past me - probably returning from a school trip. I was in Ian's car as he drove into a silver barrier at the end of my road on purpose, knocking it over and onto all the cars behind it. The reason for this erratic hehaviour? ‘Best you don't know’, he said. He reversed away from the destruction and I got out the car and walked away.
