Banging The Balls Around

Tuesday, April 30 2013

So here we go: I was watching a man as he hosted a game of pool for three pounds a pop with certain sexual favours depending upon the result of the frame. The game was held in the private rooms of a building at the end of a long corridor. The table being used had no cushions and an extra disadvantage to play was that it was at an angle. All shots only counted if the balls (other than any potted) remained on the table.  The main player who was arranging the games against all comers wa

Buried Treasure

Monday, April 29 2013

A student was keen to host a party in his flat but didn't bother to clean it before the big night. The guests arrived, and promptly wished they hadn't because they were made to sit on a dirty couch with sweaty socks and the like hanging haphazardly off the back. This next mini dream was set in the Middle Ages. Two men come to town on horseback and were at first refused entry because they were not on a list of expected visitors. The reason for their travels became clear when they discussed b

The Bee

Monday, April 29 2013

I was at my parents house and in the kitchen to be precise. Now, there was to be a delivery and the item was... a bee. Four times my parents were expecting a bee to be delivered and each time it was put through the letterbox and they did not know because it flew away. This time the helpful postman decided he would put it inside the main living room. There are sliding doors separating this room from the kitchen and when my Mum and I heard the bee and saw it was looking in an angry mood we ran b

Pete Townsend And The Sea Monster

Sunday, April 28 2013

Pete Townsend was struggling in flood waters with me and others as our boat smashed and broke into smaller pieces. I grabbed onto floating wood as we were pushed along a strong current. Pete then went off to tackle a sea monster (as you do), leaving us survivors remaining and horrified at his certain death but we knew he had done this kind of caper before and won then.

Post Office Robbery

Sunday, April 28 2013

My friend Ken was working at a post office. He left his counter and walked to where Sophie and I were a few streets away. He asked us what he should do, because a man had just handed him a message with a demand for money. He hadn't even called the police! So we crossed the road to call the police from a phone box. We had to search for the right coins and Ken in the meantime had to get back to the post office for when the police arrived. And as an extra little dream, I was standing by the

Big Bang

Saturday, April 27 2013

Sophie's parents were heating their house with a roaring fire. There was an upturned basket in front of it, to which I at arms length pushed a stick. There was a large bang and I felt compelled to say it was not due to me but came from another part of the house.

Clearing Snow

Friday, April 26 2013

I was shovelling 6-8 inches of snow in a forwards direction and had a whole field to clear. When I write "shovel", I mean that the only tool I had were a couple of small pieces of plastic, but these seemed to work just fine. I was told that this would help with the changing of a person's identity, but did not question just how this was going to pan out. Having cleared three of these fields in the past week, all I knew was that as each person changed identity they would help clear other parks i

John Lydon the odd-job man

Wednesday, April 24 2013

A white van went past me in the street and I heard radio presenter Danny Baker saying that if John Lydon had not met ... he would have been painting next doors gate now. Wondering who ... could be? I was waiting in a cafe for a taxi to collect me. After waiting ages it was now getting late and the owner announced 'sorry, they cannot collect you after all'. I was annoyed, but what could I do? I  went to catch a bus because I still had time, though I was now wearing my navy dr

ZZ Top A Wall

Tuesday, April 23 2013

I think I'm right in saying that ZZ Top having the same three  band members since 1969 is a record for a rock band I was walking and talking to a member of ZZ Top Billy Gibbons and a good work friend of mine. Then I forgot who I was walking with as we were discussed an ex member of his band. I had put a heavy bag over my shoulder and then began a discussion on the new house and how we had skipped climbing the property ladder by building our own house. We came to a sheer flat s

Late For A Meeting

Tuesday, April 23 2013

I had a meeting that I needed to attend at 9am. There was a group of us all going by coach, but come the time of collection, there was no sign of the transport from the house I was staying at.  Whilst I was waiting to be collected, I heard a noise outside and went to investigate. There had been a car that had crashed into a traffic jam, shunting one car into another. A radio announcer stated that their traffic report car was in the middle of all this and could not get out to give repor
