Goodbye, Cosmas

Rating
Tuesday, January 20 2015

This dream is from the day before yesterday. I'm typing this up a long while after having it, so I'm afraid I don't really remember it anymore and can only go by the notes I took. My dad took the cats outside at night (something we don't usually do because they wander and it's hard to see). I was getting ready to help him, but was taking too long (recurring theme), so he went out without me. It seemed like perhaps we had more than two cats (Cosmas and Sassy). I was stil

Window Woes!

Monday, April 2 2012

Muddled and faded by now. I woke up an hour early to take notes since this is the most detailed dream I've had in a while. I'm not sure of the order of all this or if all of it was even the same dream, but here goes. I was in my bedroom, sitting on my bed in the position I usually sit in when using the wireless Internet on my laptop. (We have what's called "MiFi," a small portable wireless device from AT&T; you plug it in, wait for it to connect, then connect to the network with your laptop

Fires & Flash Drives

Tuesday, March 13 2012

Vague and fragmented; I recalled it only a while after awakening. It had to do with my computer, and with a fire. I can't recall the exact order or parts in between so I'll just go by what makes the most sense. In part I was sitting on my bed working at my laptop like usual when Dad came into the room and started pulling on the thick white extension cord/power bar/surge protector...I can't recall what it's called. It has a boxy part with several outlets and a button you use to turn it on and off

The Neighbor's Fire

Thursday, March 24 2011

Partial dream from earlier in the night so I've forgotten most of the details, though for some reason this part stuck out. I can't recall how it started, just I was in my mother's company, it was sunny and summer outside (trees in full leaf), and somehow we heard or maybe saw that a house in the area was on fire. Either we heard it on my dad's scanner or we'd been walking along the highway and spotted it, maybe both. This house was located on the right side of the highway when heading north, rou

Run From The Fire

Wednesday, October 15 2008

From a couple of days ago. I was in the house with Ma and Dad; it was either late evening or early morning since it was dim outside, but not dark. We were going around the house doing various things when I happened to look out the front window and noticed that a fire had started in the field across the road. It was nearby, just a little fire, but it was shooting upwards and growing really fast. I was alarmed by this but waited a bit since I wasn't sure what would happen. The fire grew bigger as

The Hezbollah Attacks

Wednesday, August 2 2006

Vague as I took no notes. The dream memory picked up with me leaving Glen's and walking across the parking lot toward Wal-Mart with a few other people. I was carrying something, not sure what--oh yeah! I think I was carrying some shovels. O_o Strangely, I can't remember why. Just small spadelike shovels but with long handles. And I started pretending I was one of my Vietnam vet characters or something; I was stomping across the lot (it was sunny like evening with the sun getting low) at an ang

The Wabano

Friday, January 13 2006

Just a snippet from when I dozed on the couch during The Hulk. The movie music was blaring as I dozed, so it worked its way into the dream. All I recall is I was either a wabano or was pretending to be one, and I was zooming around this rural hilly landscape (a river valley?) under blue moonlight. A wabano is a type of Ojibwa medicine man, known as the "Morning Star Men" or "Dawn Men" (from wabun = east, place of dawn, and wabun-anung = morning star); they were known for handling and performin

Wildfire!

Friday, July 29 2005

I looked at the TV and the local news was broadcasting a story about a wildfire burning somewhere in "northern Michigan." I guessed this meant Cheboygan, where I live, even though northern Michigan is a pretty big area, to the newscasters. I saw footage of a gigantic pluming wall of smoke and flame burning just beyond some buildings; they looked like they were located outside the (?) city, low buildings, close to the ground, probably brick; and there was tall dry grass all around. Looked like

False Fire Alarm

Tuesday, May 10 2005

This might have been part of "Big Two-Rivered Woods," but I'm not sure. I looked out a window and had a view of the neighbor to the south of us, though in this dream it was not the young man who does live there, but an elderly guy who had been there for a while--maybe the same guy who used to live to the northwest of us, Mr. R. I think he had started burning some brush or leaves or something and the fire was getting out of control, so he was over there, batting at this fire and trying to put it

This Is The LAST Time I Try 911!

Monday, January 31 2005

Goodie, another "I-have-to-dial-911" dream! >_< I can't recall the beginning but I was at home during the daytime with a couple or a few (or maybe even a small group of) people who were supposed to be friends of mine, mixed genders, though I have no clue who they were. It was overcast outside but nice and warm, probably summer, so I was in a good mood. We seemed to just be stopping in momentarily to do something and were standing out in the dining room near the computer. For some reason mi
