And Computer Woes, Too

Monday, April 2 2012

They might have been the same dream, but the plot shifted so this is continued from "Window Woes!" Again, I was sitting on my bed, using my laptop, except the laptop seemed more like a tablet at one point. (We do not own a tablet. We'll probably invest in one whenever whatever replaces the tablet comes out.) This tablet thing was sitting on the bed beside me, near my knee, as I kind of faced toward the south wall; I started getting either popups or a false mocked-up webpage of some kind, and I t

What Shall We Do About The Tree?

Tuesday, February 21 2012

Last night some more dream fragments seemed to come a bit more clearly to me than lately. I didn't take note of the first dream I sort of (and now no longer) recalled since I remember thinking it was pretty convoluted. I recalled this dream fragment only after I'd been awake for a while, and delayed writing it up, so it's hazy, but at least it's something. The beginning and end and exact order of things is lost, but it had something to do with the tree in our front yard. In reality, as far back

Wait, You're Not A Cat

Saturday, February 11 2012

I was outside in the front yard, near the long driveway, standing about midway between the house and the highway. I was facing kind of southwest. I can't recall if it was summer or winter, unfortunately. There seemed to be some small trees or shrubs or bushes or something in this area, blocking my view of the driveway; I can't properly describe them, they were just kind of in a small stand or clump or something and were dark in color. Their leaves/needles/whatever were thick but at the bottom mi

Mother's Abandonment, Animus's Sympathy

Monday, June 13 2011

Woefully vague by now, though I did remember it somewhat better earlier. *sigh* I know basically that my mother and I were shopping downtown, mainly at Wal-Mart; it was daytime and seemed overcast--maybe it was cooler out, like autumn, but I'm unsure--though the time of day seemed kind of odd like at times it was night, not sure. Wal-Mart looked different inside and out as well; I think the parking lot was more like that at the Glen's supermarket except bigger. I can't quite describe Wal-Mart, i

A High School Mission

Monday, March 28 2011

This might in fact be part of the previous dream, "The Return Of King Arthur," but the plot was so vastly different that I've split them. I really can't be sure if they're the same. This dream is very fragmentary and hard to outline. I know I was in a return-to-school situation; it seemed to be the high school but might have been combined with the college, or was meant to be the college. It was dim inside like the lights were off but light was coming in through the windows and doors. I wasn't al

The Disappearing Journal Aisle

Thursday, February 24 2011

This dream might have been part of "A Bathroom Fragment, A Recurring Theme." Vague, mostly forgotten in its details; I wasn't going to take this down but perhaps doing so will help later dream recall. I was in a large store which, despite being the size of perhaps half our Wal-Mart, gave the feeling of being a small convenience store; maybe like a Walgreens. Just a place to stop in and get what's needed. The room went far back, with lots of aisles of very tall shelves, and rows of fluorescent li

A Bathroom Fragment, A Recurring Theme

Lucidity
Lucid Intent

Thursday, February 24 2011

Just an image. I remembered a bit more after I awoke, but made the mistake of not noting anything down since it was so little I thought surely I'd remember at least a general plot, but it's gone now and I can't even estimate what happened. I just know there were lots of people involved, including a man older than me, maybe bald(ing); he was very intense and seemed even borderline psychotic so he was kind of forbidding but not a bad guy of any sort. There was something I had to do, I can't recall

Doubling Back, Starting Anew

Thursday, September 16 2010

Very vague. These are a few scenes from a longer, more coherent dream which is much faded by now; I take it down merely because the ending scene was interesting to me. I can't explain very well all that was going on or why. I was in a building like a school or hospital or combination of both, and there were lots of people around, very crowded, very active. Lots of hallways, doorways, rooms, different directions to go in, and everywhere the people walking around in massive groups as if taking par

Little Blue-&-Yellow Bird

Thursday, March 18 2010

Vague by now but very clear after I had it. I can give only sketchy details, I'm afraid. I was at home during the daytime and at least Dad was present; I'm not sure about Ma. I think it was sunny and summery outside. I looked out the front porch door window, at the stool feeder, and kept seeing these odd, cute little birds landing there, taking seeds, and flying away. (The scenery looked a bit different but not substantially so.) The bird they most resembled was the red-breasted nuthatch--in fac

Where Did All These Books Come From??

Monday, November 23 2009

In the morning when my dad leaves for work, I'll often poke around at my books while waiting to say goodbye, longing to have more time to read them and wondering which I should read next. I was doing this this morning and was surprised to find two books I'd completely forgotten I had, The Secret Language Of Dreams and The Secret Language Of Symbols, both by David Fontana. I remembered that I'd had a third book, The Secret Language Of The Soul, that had come along with these as a set, and made a
