The Hidden Room In My Closet

Thursday, February 26 2009

From yesterday. I had this before it was time to wake up so it's vague by now. This is the recurring theme of mine of finding hidden or forgotten rooms/areas in our house. I was in my bedroom and was worried about a stuffed toy animal of mine. In reality a few days ago, I wondered about my old stuffed toys. I have a slew of them, but most of them I put in plastic bags and stuck upstairs years ago. I sometimes worry that mice or something have gotten to them and am too scared to go look. :( I kep

Seeking My Class, AKA The UAW Tunnels

Thursday, February 19 2009

This dream was quite long and involved, and very detailed and realistic to me while I was having it, as my dreams have been lately (hence an inability to go lucid, if I was even trying--everything seems so real, down to my thought processes). Unfortunately it was from a period of the night before it was time to get up, so I took no notes and it's very fragmentary by now. This could also be very out of order, but seeing as the plot was much the same throughout the entire dream, I doubt this will

I Am A Modernist Painting

Thursday, February 19 2009

Okay, so, yesterday when my dad knocked on my door to let me know he was going to work, I had this brief little waking-dream/thought-thingie, you know, when you're still dreaming even though you're coming awake. I was certain, for a moment, that I was part of some kind of Modernist painting, like a Mondrian, with black lines on white and some gray rectangles or something. I was one such rectangle and I knew I had to align myself horizontally along with the other rectangles. Then I came fully awa

Tearing Through Reality

Thursday, February 12 2009

Vague by now, but impressive while I was having it. From yesterday. This entire dream was roleplayed as if I were an actor in a movie; I was in the company of someone else, probably a boy in his early teens, and I was young too. I feel we were in some kind of story about children discovering a fantasy land and being all awed by it, like The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe or something. A tad bit tacky but whatever. We were in this big squarish room; it might have been slightly more rectangula

Family Trip! With Fresh Bread!And...Tree Violations Officers?

Thursday, February 12 2009

[Original title, "Family Trip! With Fresh Bread! And...Tree Violations Officers?"] Kind of muddled by now. From yesterday. I seemed to be getting ready to go on some kind of trip with the entire family--Ma, Dad, and, inexplicably, my brother Eric, his wife Shannon, and their daughter Rayne (who in reality all live in Georgia). It's almost like Eric and his family were taking us somewhere rather than the other way around, which is odd considering we were in Michigan. Another odd thing is that it

Heronia & Huronia

Thursday, February 12 2009

This dream is the same as "The Third Book Is Lots Better!" but the plot shifted. Dad and I were watching this cartoon with the wolf playing dead and the whippet who had just kissed him. This was taking place in the grass near some trees; it was daytime now and the area looked rather wild and rugged, just lots of tall (brownish?) grass between these pines and such. I can't recall what became of the wolf, but the whippet was still here; I realized she was evil, but was pretending to be good. She s

The Third Book Is Lots Better!

Thursday, February 12 2009

From yesterday. This is really just the first part of a dream; I've divided it into two since it really shifts plot toward the end. I can't remember how it started, and it's really fragmentary and out of order, but it had to do with a book series called The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. It's three YA books about a young magician and a genie, set in an alternate-reality England where there's a ruling class of magicians; I read them recently and they were okay but I wasn't terribly thrill

The Wolf Lord's Tale

Sunday, February 1 2009

From yesterday. Very vague by now, unfortunately, since it was really interesting while I was having it. This dream seemed to play out like some sort of elaborate TV movie or something, with various sets of characters and subplots all tying together to the main plot; that is, there were different characters involved in the same main plot, but they were all off in various places doing various things, not all of them interacting at once. This might just be because I can't remember the dream but in
