Street in a Trailer

Rating
Wednesday, March 1 2017

I wake up in a strange, impossibly large trailer.  The center of the trailer has a street running through it.  There’s a man picking up a bunch of fireworks out of the road.  I thank him for doing that, and he snides that it’s my friend that set them off.  I apologize, and look around, but I don’t see any of my friends here.  I decide to help him, and start to put used fireworks into a plastic sack.  Two boys, one in his late teens and his

Giant Boxes Falling Down

Bart Simpson is in a bar.  He’s fascinated by a broken glass recycler on the wall back behind the bar itself.  He sticks his arm in an open tube with flowing, broken glass- and his arm gets cut up.  He needed to do this though to gage the flow of the glass, this way he can follow the flow to a pipe that leads around the wall outside. He climbs up the pipes.  Bart is now me.  I climb several stories up the side of the building, grippi

Dumbledore walks briskly down a sewer system tunnel or an old unused subway tunnel with Snape.  After some tense discussion, Snape branches off and leaves Dumbledore.  Dumbledore finds me, and we continue down this dark, wet, musty tunnel together. We end up in a dead end.  It looks to me like we’re supposed to power slide under an opening and closing gate.  I’m just about to try to slide when the ga

Feathered Seal

The classroom I’m in is dark because we’re going to be watching a movie.  I climb up on top of a closet to get to some high lockers in the back of the room.  I find my locker and miraculously remember my combination.  I shuffle through the stuff looking for my history book.  Instead of just my locker, it’s the entire area above the closet that I search- which is now open and littered with junk.  Amongst th

My Cousins' Protector

Mr. Fickers, some other students, and I walk down a street.  Mr. Fickers asks me where I work, and I tell him for my uncle.  He asks me how it’s been going, and I try to explain the situation to him.  I can tell he loses interest halfway through. We reach a part of the sidewalk that is lined by a cliffwall on the left, and a rail on the other.  The rail protects people from falling fifteen feet down to the street below.  When I look down at the street, I reali

Snow Street Tanks

Rating
Sunday, December 18 2016

I’m locked in a house, while the country is under military arrest.  Tanks move down the snow covered street. I need to get outside to get food, or firewood.  If I leave and am caught- even for doing something as necessary as collecting supplies, I will be arrested or worse.  I sneak out, and find that my friends are all out as well.  We all try to escape down the street without getting caught.  The falling snow gives us some cover.      I go to a super fancy college.  The ceilings are multiple stories high, the halls shimmer like an expensive hotel or mansion, and the floors and pillars are solid marble.   I follow Cory down the same path that we take every day: veering left at a fork in the hall, taking another left, a right, down a small flight of stairs, and then another left.  The path is so familiar to me that I’m pretty sure I could travel it blindfolded.  I t

Stationary Bubble

Friday, October 21 2016

I’m walking toward home on the north road.  It’s night time.  I pass by the park, and find my path blocked by a suspended bubble- hovering at chest height- unmoving.  I hold out my hand and am about to try and hold in when movement catches my eye from in the park. A girl is in the grass, blowing more bubbles.  These bubbles catch in the wind and blow across my path.  The strangely still bubble is gone. I continue my walk, trying to pop o
