Couch Construction

Rating
Tuesday, April 11 2017

Mom wakes me up and says I’m supposed to get up and get ready for the construction workers to arrive.  They’re going to need help removing the gloves from the couch.  I don’t want to, but she says I have to. They arrive moments later, giving me no time to get ready or even wake up fully.  I leave my room in my sleep clothes to help them with the upturned couch.  Instead of pulling out just gloves from inside the exposed bottom, I find th

Waves and Two-Week Trip

Rating
Friday, March 3 2017

I’m floating in open water with three others.  I feel like we’re right where we’re supposed to be, so I relax and back-float.  I end up falling asleep peacefully. I wake up not being able to breathe.  I manage to break the surface of the water and inhale, but the waves are huge- at least six feet tall- and it’s hard for me to stay above water.   Me and Josh Hutcherson are separated from the other two sw

Street in a Trailer

Rating
Wednesday, March 1 2017

I wake up in a strange, impossibly large trailer.  The center of the trailer has a street running through it.  There’s a man picking up a bunch of fireworks out of the road.  I thank him for doing that, and he snides that it’s my friend that set them off.  I apologize, and look around, but I don’t see any of my friends here.  I decide to help him, and start to put used fireworks into a plastic sack.  Two boys, one in his late teens and his

Rage Spawned Telekinesis

Rating
Saturday, February 4 2017

I wake up in bed and Mom says something to me about smoking.  I figure she’s talking about the Blu cigarettes, but when I woke up a little better I see that she’s smoking a regular cigarette. I’m enraged, and incredibly hurt.  I grab the pack of smokes, which only has one cigarette left inside, and I storm to my room.  I shout that I hate her as I slam the door.  I sob as I look at the crumpled pack in my fist.  I knew I should have gotten rid of a

Face-Down Forest Amputee

Rating
Tuesday, January 17 2017

I wake up in a forest.  I’m lying face down in the wet dirt and leaves.  I push myself up as I come to, and turn myself over onto my back.  I know something isn’t right.  I look down to my legs. Where the bottom half of my left leg should be, a gold filigree cast of a leg remains.  The filigree looks elvish, with ornate leaves and swirled designs.  I don’t have time to panic about half of my leg being gone, because I’m in
