Hatching Gas Station Eggs

Rating
Tuesday, April 25 2017

I’m at a gas station with Mom.  She buys ecigs.  I feel intimidated by a group of girls that is in here with us.  I end up getting a carton of eggs from the cashier lady. Mom is in the living room at Dad’s house with the eggs when they start to hatch.  Four chicks hatch before I’m there.  To my disappointment, Dad says the rest are duds.   I have the carton in my lap and I sit in front of the firepl

Stranded in Antique Mall

Rating
Tuesday, April 25 2017

I drive through a massive antique mall.  The packed shelves and ceiling reach so high that I can’t see their tops.  The isles are at least two cars wide, sometimes with shorter shelves used as medians.   My car breaks down, which is most inopportune since I’m being hunted down and am trying to get away.   I notice not far away a man is trying to hot wire another car.  I know that him trying to steal the car is just a cover up

Tower Fall

Rating
Monday, April 24 2017

I’m running around on some rooftops in a group.  Weston is with us.   I slow when I get to part of a rooftop that I’m certain I’ve dreamed of before.  I tell Weston I’ve dreamed of this place, he finds it pretty neat.  I find it profound. We walk to the edge of the rooftop and look down.  It’s a far far drop down to the water below.  The rooftop across the way has a small tower with a peak.  If we want on the other roof, we&r

Panic Before the Performance

Rating
Monday, April 24 2017

Bell, Mary, Alexia, two other girls, and I are supposed to do an impressive presentation as part of a competition that’s a very big deal.  What we have planned, however, is extremely sub-par.  It’s just a few speaking lines that we don’t even have memorized.  I’m not sure when we’re going, but I’m praying it’s going to be tomorrow instead of today.  That would give us some time to practice. The two

Oli Egg

Rating
Sunday, April 23 2017

Oli, my guinea pig, returns from the dead to visit.  He arrives from the stain glass tower that appeared in the middle of the living room [Dad’s living room].  Oli is an egg in a dish near the ornate glass.  I ask Mom to take pictures before the tower disappears again. This tower is a Christmas thing, and since it’s not the time of year for it, I know it’ll be gone again soon.  Mom get some pictures, but as soon as she does Oli’s e

Zombies in the Basement

Rating
Friday, April 21 2017

I’m exploring a house with a strange attic and even stranger fenced in areas in the basement.  The basement has a tall ceiling that easily goes two stories up, as do the fences of the fenced areas.  I open one of the gates leading into one of the areas, and climb up on the platform that’s fenced. Just as I start looking around for clues as to what these were used for, zombies come out of nowhere.  I barely get the man I’m with into the gated area with me

Under Bed Bunker

Rating
Monday, April 17 2017

I am living on the road with Shelby, Johnathan, Granny, and my aunt.  We split up from the rest of the group, which includes Mom and a bad ass woman on a jet ski.  I get the sense we’re in the post apocalypse- the very near post.   The world looks partially like Minecraft.  We stumble upon a house that I know Papa built as a type of shelter.  I navigate through the house by memory, and find the kids’ room.  Under their bed is a small hidden bunk

Expensive Carriage Ride

Rating
Saturday, April 15 2017

Me and Penelope take a carriage ride around a city for fun.  After the city tour we ask the carriage driver to take us to the campground house.  We have to pack up the attic room upstairs and move our stuff out. Once we’re packed up, we go back downstairs and need to pay for the carriage ride.  The price is outrageous, coming to $2500.  I thought at max it as going to cost $500. Couch Construction

Rating
Tuesday, April 11 2017

Mom wakes me up and says I’m supposed to get up and get ready for the construction workers to arrive.  They’re going to need help removing the gloves from the couch.  I don’t want to, but she says I have to. They arrive moments later, giving me no time to get ready or even wake up fully.  I leave my room in my sleep clothes to help them with the upturned couch.  Instead of pulling out just gloves from inside the exposed bottom, I find th

Pixel by Pixel

Rating
Sunday, April 9 2017

I’m in art class with Bell.  She paints a painting pixel by pixel with a special tool that she owns.  I ask her to show me how to use one of those tools since they look really cool and I’d like to learn. I get the sense that it’s one of the last art classes of the year.  We’re graduating soon, so it’s one of the last art classes I’ll ever attend in high school.  My heart sinks when the bell rings and it ends. I try to remember what cl
