The Stone

Someone gave me this stone, that apparently hurt anyone who came into possession of it. For some strange reason it didn't hurt me, although it did bring trouble into my surroundings. The stone was blue-green, and almost looked like a geode.

Some spirit would tell me to do specific things in a nearby river at night. The spirit looked like a native, with feathers in his hair and dark skin. Going to the river at night seemed creepy, but every time I'd go and do what he asked me, he'd show up and things would happen exactly as he said they would.

During the daytime I was in the bathroom, and my mother insisted on me coming outside of the house with her. She insisted to the point of walking into the bathroom while I was in the toilet and I got really angry that it couldn't wait. But she was extremely persistent and I just had to go with her. While I was in the bathroom I noticed an adult diaper on the floor with piss on it and the thought in my mind was that some lady who wasn't directly related to me had been here recently and the person taking care of her was a bit careless. When I finally went outside with her, we were at the same place my grandparents used to live since my childhood until my high school days. There was some kind of parade maybe, because we saw a lot of people walking down the street. She pointed out to me some girl I think I knew, who had cut her hair really short and was walking away in the opposite direction of everyone, and seemed to be angry or upset.

Then my next door neighbor showed up and she had a similar haircut, but I told her it looked better on her because it was longer. I started walking in the direction all the people were going and a guy started talking to me out of nowhere, and at first I thought he looked like the Indian from the river. But I quickly realized he was just some street thief or a drug addict. He was skinny and had very dark skin. He stole the stone from me and ran off. I knew something bad would happen.

My childhood neighbor had apparently had a dream about an Indian that told her to go to the river and bring specific herbs and plants to use. She did it but I went with her just in case. She was afraid but got in the river and then the herbs and plants looked red in the dark, like a big net made of yarn. It looked quite impressive and pretty. Then the man appeared. At first in the dark I thought it was the Indian, but it was the thief who stole the stone from me. He went to attack my neighbor, and he just threw feces at her. I got in the middle and yelled at him. I told him "I don't know what you think you are going to accomplish with that stone, but I can tell you what it will do to you. It is going to destroy you. I saw my grandfather get his life drained off him by simply holding the stone (At this moment I saw the image of my grandfather with the stone in his hand and looking ghostly white)." Then I got really angry and kept yelling and I started throwing stones from the river towards the man. I yelled "Here, take the stone!" And I kept throwing rocks at him, bigger and bigger rocks and he was getting hurt and bruised. When I looked at him though, I saw that metal objects were flying out of nowhere and sticking to his body. I mostly saw eating utensils. I thought it was the stone. The man was just standing there, frozen and afraid. I took the stone away from him.

I was in Puerto Rico visiting. My brothers were there, parents, fiance. We had been partying and having fun with all of our friends and family. The day before flying back from P.R. we decided to go on a trip around the island, walking. I don't know how we thought we'd have enough time but we were going to do it anyway. I asked my middle brother J to drive me to the meeting point. There was an old friend of ours in the house that I did not like. He had been a really bad influence in the past and was not welcome into our home anymore so I was not happy about his presence. My brother and him were inside the house and they took a while to come out and I knew they were doing something I didn't like. So when they came out they looked like they were high, and I noticed and got furious. I took the keys and decided I'd drive. When they both got in the car, I took a box of flour or something along those lines and started pouring it all over their faces inside the car and yelling at them that I knew what they had been doing. The both had looks of shock in their faces. I started driving really fast on purpose because I was furious at them.

In the walking trip we had a big group with back packs and all. We walked a lot through towns, roads, mountains and all. Then we came to a bridge, made of concrete, very simple construction and old but in good shape. We had to go across but there were people looking at the river and one of them told us we couldn't walk over the bridge because the river had flooded it and the police had closed the bridge. I looked across the bridge and saw that there was lots of water actually going over the bridge, covering parts of it. We were wondering what to do then, since we had to get to the other side to continue the journey. We couldn't cross the river itself because it was flooded, and it had gotten much deeper and the current stronger. The water was the color of coffee with milk. Someone told us we could take the other bridge, and they pointed towards a bridge that was very high on some cliffs and looked very dangerous and scary. I said hell no that looks scary. Then I said are we going to go back now? This would be a wasted trip! Then I decided we'd try to cross the bridge anyway. I asked someone if the police were guarding the bridge and apparently they weren't. So I said let's try it!

We all started walking over the bridge, and I was the first one. When we walked on the bridge, it turned out to be fine! No water over it, no flooding. The water even looked calm and clear from the bridge. It was as if we had been looking at a false view and then got the real view from the bridge. I thought to myself, wow if we had given up and not crossed we'd never know the bridge and water were fine.
