Octopi, Flaming Skulls and a Science Lab

I was switching bodies, for no particular reason. I would have an out of body experience whenever I came upon unfavorable circumstances. I had switched into a body that was extremely hungry. I was standing by a harbor in a dead end and I found a baby octopus the size of me on the ground. It was a scarlet-red color with small bumps or nubs of a sort on its head and it was kind of cute, making desperate squeaking noises. I felt guilty and badly for it. I decided not to eat it and pushed it back into the harbor, where it swam off to meet its fellow giant octopi, which were surfacing and rolling over, blowing water out like whales. I switched to a different body, which was a policeman sitting in the passenger seat of a car watching what had just taken place, except the seat was a toilet. So I took a dump (faeces).Cut: I was at someone's house. It was a large house on a prairie of sorts with a fenced in natural foods garden outside. Inside was very metallic and barren, everything rather plain, nothing on the floors or walls. I wanted some coffee very badly but could not find the coffeemaker. I found it atop a chrome refridgerator but my back began to hurt very badly and I couldn't reach it. I craved coffee with every cell in my body. Two little boys started running around but they sounded and acted like adults and I got the distinct feeling that my mother and girlfriend April were each dating one of them. One walked in on me while I was changing in a bedroom and I embarrassed and angry about it. But once he was in (it was his bedroom) he wanted to show me things. I layed on my back on his bed and my back finally felt better. The bed seemed to float. Hanging from his ceiling were a variety of skulls and toys shaped like skulls. Flaming skulls, grinning skulls, glowing skulls. They wafted to and fro with the bed hovering just above the floor. The kid threw an action figure at me and it hurt, kind of pinched my arm a bit and he laughed at me. Then everything in the room parted and disappeared, the room darkened, and in the middle a variety of instruments revealed, each one in front of a microphone with a giant screen hanging on the wall in front of them. Heavy metal band members each took their place and all I could find to do was whack a tambourine, which I did quite poorly.
Cut: I was in a sterile, white plain science lab. I had a backpack on and it appeared as though this was some kind of tourist attraction. Lots of plainclothes people were walking around curiously checking out displays hanging on walls and behind counters people wearing labcoats worked. I was walking with a partner whom I never talked with. All the doors were those double swing doors with circular windows, the rather plain kind you see in grocery stores or, strangely, in science labs. At first all doors were labeled and I was able to memorize paths for the most part. At one point I left, went back to the house with the skulls, but my back began hurting again and I put the backpack on and re-entered the lab. Things were different this time. There were no tourists and my partner was gone. The scientists were doing grim and bloody experiments on sad saps that had fallen victim to their coaxing. I passed by these experiments as if on a conveyor belt with little or no emotion while one creepy, simple song played over the whole experience that I can still hear clearly. On the way to the cafeteria I noticed, behind glass, the scientists putting a man through a meat slicer to feed the tourists. In the cafeteria, all the tourists sat, including what I thought was my partner. I sat next to him but he shapeshifted into someone else. Everyone was shapeshifting constantly, like in A Scanner Darkly. I ran and tried to get out, but the backpack felt like it was inflating and putting immense pressure on my lower spine and all the rooms were different. As I ran I noticed tourists were now working for the scientists and I wondered if I would ever get out, or meet a similar fate.
Additional Comments:
I had a lot of trouble getting comfortable and getting to sleep throughout the night and awoke regularly. In an effort to be more comfortable I'd lie on my stomach on occasion, which causes me a lot of back pain after 15 minutes or so. I must have been rolling around a lot and every time I'd lie on my stomach, the back pain would represent itself in the dream.A few hours before I had the coffee dream I woke up really, really wanting some coffee for some reason.
For the closest thing I can find to the song I heard, listen to the beginning of Type O Negative's "Drunk In Paris."
