Writing a Paper
I was back in college. Class had just started when we were informed that we would have to write a paper in class. It was some sort of long essay that had to be about two pages long. Everyone else started writing and I realized I didn't have any paper out. I got a notebook out and started flipping through it to find a blank piece of paper. I kept flipping and couldn't find a blank page. I was getting frustrated. I started ripping pages out and looking at them and they all had writing on them!
Eventually I got a piece of paper to write on. I started writing, but it wasn't working very well. It was like I was writing with my left hand. I couldn't shape the letters correctly, use proper spacing between letters and words, or write in a straight line. Once again, I was getting pretty frustrated. Somehow I managed to start writing fairly well. I looked up and everyone else had already completed their paper and left. I started to panic and I didn't know what I was going to write about. I decided I would just write about the situation I had just gone through. I wrote something like "There was a man named Travis who was having trouble writing a two page paper..." etc. I continued the story for a while, but woke up before it was over.
Movie Being Filmed at my House
I woke up and I was in my bed at home. There was a big movie being shot at my house, I remember comparing it to Avatar, but it didn't seem unusual. I remember sitting at a little table discussing it with Riker, from Star Trek: The Next Generation. We were talking about how Wesley Crusher (also from Star Trek, who apparently lived there) thought he was going to be in the movie. Riker thought Wesley would be too devastated by the news, but I assured him that Wesley was a good kid and that he would probably be pretty upset at first, but I thought he'd probably get over it.
I've been out of college since Spring 2009.

I had posted an environmental poster online when I was contacted by someone who told me that it was really good. He said he was an agent and wanted to help me get it presented at a major competition. I thought it sounded pretty awesome because there was a lot of money to be won, so I agreed to do it. The poster competition was in New York, so I had to go on a bit of a trip and my family decided to come as well.
We stayed in a little house in a little town in New York state and everything looked really old fashioned. It felt like we were in the 1950s, but there were modern cars, so it seemed like it was just a town that never progressed any further than the 50s. Also, I had a computer in my room, but it was something like an Apple II, but I could get on the internet with it and look at my poster. I decided to go to bed because it was getting late. I turned off the old computer and went to bed. In my dream (inside my dream), I was in a Walmart parking lot with my friend Jamie and it was dark out. All of a sudden I saw something above me. I looked up and to my amazement there was a DeLorean flying over me very slowly. It wasn't making any sound, so it was a little weird. I yelled "Jamie! Look! A flying DeLorean! Are you seeing this? It's not just me is it?" She looked and she saw it as well. When I looked back at it, there was a trailer or something attached to the back and it sat down on top of a nearby building and crushed it. I think somebody got out of the car and it was really weird, but I just know that something really creepy happened next and I wanted out of there. I was terrified. Luckily, I woke up.
I got up and looked at my pocketwatch, but it seemed weird. It was a lot bigger than I rememberd and it had soem blue markings on it. I couldn't quite understand why or how it was different, but I knew it wasn't the watch that I usually use. Anyways, the hands on the watch were really loose and moved a little when I moved the watch, so I wasn't really sure what time it was. I looked at a clock and it was it was 11:11. That's how I read it anyways. In reality, all three hands were facing in about the direction of the 7 on the clock. I don't know why I read it as 11:11, but that seemed perfectly right at the time. I realized that the agent was supposed to be getting to my house soon, so I went out into the living room. Oddly enough, he was right outside the window walking up to the house.
He looked different than I imagined. He was about 25, skinny, and sort of looked like a hipster. I didn't judge him or anything though and decided to talk to him. I opened the door and talked to him outside while I was inside holding the screen door open. I didn't want to wake anybody else up because my family was still sleeping. He sort of casually insisted that he come inside and I somewhat reluctantly agreed. We got on the computer to look at my poster and information about the competition. About that same time some kids started coming in the house. They were outside with my agent, so I assumed he knew them. He insisted that it was okay and, again, I reluctantly agreed. At first there were only three of them. There was a song on the radio and as they walked toward us one of them was singng it, a lot louder than I would have liked. I asked him to be quiter and he apologized. However, he then kept singing loudly. I told him to be quiet because people were sleeping and he apologized again. But, he kept singing loudly and I told him to stop again or I would throw him outside. I was getting pretty pissed off by this point.
After that little incident I looked around and the other children were playing with everything in the house. It must have been around Christmas time because there were presents that they started opening and carrying outside! I was trying to stop them, but the agent guy wouldn't help me. In fact, he was helping the children, which now numbered about 10. They kept coming in the house and taking things outside. By this point I realized that I had been scammed and that this guy was just a con artist. He lured me there to steal my stuff. I was really mad. I confronted him and asked him how many people he had contacted on the website where I posted my poster because I didn't think he was a real agent. He said he only contacted a couple of people. Meanwhile, the children, and now he was stealing all of our stuff and it was getting out of control. I managed to get to a phone and call the cops, and I yelled for my mom to come out and help with the situation. She came out and managed to kick most of them out of the house. However, I had caught one of the kids and I was holding him by the leg. I told him I wasn't letting go until the cops got there. He didn't seem to worried.
Eventually I saw the cops pull up. They came inside and took the people who were in there. My mom was walking out right behind them. I thought she was going to give her account of what happened. I went to the door to see what she was talking about and I just saw her clothes on the gound and the agent guy running away. He had disguised himself so he could get away. Plus, the cop car...was now a big jalopy like the Beverly Hillbillies had and all of the children were in it. I was cursing at him while he got in the car and drove away. I was running after him, and his car just kept changing into different forms, it turned into a horse and buggy, a firetruck, and then it turned down the next road and I knew it was coming right back to our house. I ran back to the house and shut the door, but I saw that the lock was just a little flimsy piece of metal that had already been broken. Their car turned into a 1950s hot rod as they got back and they drove right through the yard. I was feeling extremely frustrated, afraid, and confused by now. I didn't know what the hell he was or how he was able to do the things he was doing. I almost felt like crying.
Then, I woke up. I was inthe same room that I woke up in last time. I went into the living room and that guy and those kids were breaking into my house stealing my stuff again. I knew there was nothing I could do to stop them. Even waking up didn't stop them because they were back. I was really feeling like it was hopeless at this point. The dream had broken me at this point and I really did not want it to continue. It was a horrible feeling.
Then, I woke up. I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom, but the bathroom looked weird. I walked into the next room and it was another bathroom. The next room...a bathroom....the next room...a bathroom. Every room was a bathroom and I knew it was that damn agent's fault. I knew he was controlling this somehow. I actually thought that maybe I was dead and that this was my hell. Constantly running around seeing nothing but bathrooms and that the agent was Satan. It was that terrifying. I ran until I found a staircase. I looked down and it seemed to go on forever. I jumped down because there was a spot to fall through and I thought I'd just grab the edge when I got to a floor that looked worth stopping. However, I just kept falling and falling while screaming. I knew the only way to end this was to wake up, so I started yelling "Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep!!" just like the sound my alarm clock makes. So...
Then, I woke up. However, I was in a weird gray state. All I could see around me was the color gray. I tried moving my arms and legs and it felt like they were moving. However, I couldn't see anything but gray and I knew that my arm should have been directly in front of my face. I knew I wasn't awake yet, but I didn't know what to do. I was really terrified and pissed off now. I started fighting to will myself to wake up. I didn't want to be in that purgatory any longer, so I fought hard to wake up.
Then, I woke up. It felt like I had been asleep for days when I finally opened my eyes because my body still felt like it was mostly asleep. I knew I was really awake this time. The tactile feeling of the wall on my arm was an excellent piece of evidence for that. Plus, everything just seemed brighter and more "real." I felt thankful that I actually was awake now because that dream was crazy. Then, I got online and typed this up. Who knows, this could still be a dream too. haha
Well, I did just enter a poster competition and didn't win anything.
Also, I was shocked when I realized that I was only asleep for 2 and a half hours. I knew I was only taking a nap, but it felt like a lot longer than that.
